A left footed right winger with great dribbling skills and good workrate, isn't that pretty much what Jose wants? Don't know much about his end product but he looks a talented young lad with great potential and he wouldn't be too expensive either, maybe €12-14m would do the trick. I'm just going to go ahead and say it. I honestly don't think replacing Mata by getting this guy to rotate with Willian on the right wing would be bad business, in fact I think it would be a great move by Jose because basically he'd basically be replacing an expensive bench warmer who he doesn't know how to fully utilise with a player more suited to his tactics while also getting a profit of around €30m. It's only the part about Mata leaving to join Manchester United of all clubs that's causing people to be butthurt and rightly so, but if he left for someone like PSG and we replaced him with Salah I would say job well done. I think you're overreacting and you also forget Jose bought Matic to replace the spot left open when De Bruyne went to Wolfsburg. Now we have Mikel as a back-up for Matic, Essien for Rami, Lamps for Oscar, Schurrle for Hazard and Jose's looking for a back-up for Willian. How many attacking midfielders you want on the bench. Jose has made his point clear - Hazard, Oscar and Willian are his starters, you can't have world-class players on the bench. Mata is world-class, he can't stay on the bench. Also, you can't bring Reus or Cristiano to replace him and act as Willian's back-up. This is what Juan Mata is for Chelsea right now - a back-up for the RW (Willian). Nothing more. And you have to bring a back-up to replace him. Jose has found Salah as the answer to this question and why not? He is young, talented, his work-rate is immense and I'm pretty sure he won't mind staying on the bench until he gets accustomed to the EPL.
