Mufassir08 2,400
Was I the only one thinking he was one of our better players? He is not going to win the midfield by himself, but I think he was less static compared with a lot of other players. To me he was far better than Mikel who got less done.Should be the first name in the defensive midfield, but he has yet to click with anyone as well as he did with Luiz.As for Ramires he shouldn't be sold, but we could without any doubt benefit from a player similar to Moutinho next to Matic.Agree with everything. MrExcalibur100 7,124
The idiots come out bashing our best players when the whole team have been poor. Shocking really.............not mediator
Barbara 15,149
The guy is known for not having the best stamina in the world. He comes to a much more physical league than the Portuguese and start playing consecutive matches in short space of time, so it's obvious he'll drop his level at some moments/matches.I still think the fact that there isn't someone better by his side (yes, I agree with whoever says David Luiz was the best partner he's had so far) it means he has to work much harder than usual. For a guy who struggles with stamina that's a recipe to getting burnt out in a few matches. That said I don't think he was as bad as people are making him out to be. Didn't watch WHU though. Henrique 9,133
Has been poor recently perhaps because of fatigue and the lack of a ball-playing CM next to him. Did well when partnered with Luiz who can actually pass, but with Mikel/Ramires who cannot control the tempo, he has to take the initiative himself giving the ball away quite a lot as his long-range passing has been very poor. A Luiz-Matic pivot should be the way forward from now on.He arrived recently, I dont know how fatigue is an excuse. He played few matches as a starting XI, and until now we dont know good he really is, since he played few matches.

BlueLion. 21,491
He was poor today, but name me one player who wasn't? He was possibly the best of a sorry bunch. Stingray
CHOULO19 24,332
Didn't have a good game, but you can't really point him out because the whole team, bar Azpi maybe, didn't do well. But it is true, that he left some gaps and was ball watching on several occasions, but it could be just fatigue.

Barbara 15,149
It's not simply or even fatigue. Many of our Portuguese members who watched him week in week out reported he has stamina issues. Then he starts a bunch of matches in a short period of time in a league way more physical, tiredness - which is different from fatigue - and lack of energy (and consequently mistakes) are expected. Not rocket science. The guy has a flaw/limitation and we should use him wisely.'Good thing' he is cup tied in UCL and from now on he'll play mostly once a week (don't think we'll have any double journey in a EPL week). Popular Post! dee25 1,044 Posted February 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 22, 2014 Just want to highlight his stats from today.- He had the most touches on the ball & had a 91% pass accuracy (2nd highest after Terry) - Made 4 tackles (only 1 other player managed that many, Frank) and he also made 6 interceptions, which was the highest from a chelsea player. Highest in the game was 7. - Offensively - made 1 key pass, 1 accurate cross, 2 successful dribbles (no other chelsea player made more than 2) and completed the highest number of successful long balls. Out of the 4 matches he started (in the league) he's received a rating on whoscored of 8.00 or higher on 3 occasions. He's such a lynchpin in our midfield and a brilliant, brilliant signing. 1chelsea 864
MATIC came at the nick of time breath down, I really think we should get another MATIC kinda player. He been adding good enough energy to this team. Our three striker must go let get new two adding lukaku to make the third striker
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Another amazing performance today. It's clear that this guy is one of the best in Europe in his position, like all the Portuguese based Journo's were saying. He will be incredibly crucial in the title run-in, seeing as he is cup-tied in the CL and would be fresh to play every minute in the PL. Maybe it was fatigue behind his last two poor performances after all. Which two poor performances? He hasn't played a poor game since he joined us. If you're thinking about Man City FA cup, the team as a whole looked tired and he was one of the best of a bad bunch. He's been nothing short of brilliant in almost every game thus far.
