When we went more defensive, it obviously restricted him going forward. But on those rare occasions he did, he wasn't that brilliant. I can only remember a shot against City that hit the bar, but his final ball isn't very good. It seems once he won a battle in midfield and get's away, he either misplaces a pass or simply slows the counter attack.Just something I noticed is all, still a great player and of course that could just be what he's told to do. He's a very good player but I don't think he's Madrid/Barca good like I initially thought. Everyone is on Cesc's case & rightfully so but how many big games has Matic played well in himself? Hes a top player but he was never the best DM in Europe and he's been quite shite the last while.
