DH1988 1,348
I love watching those two, really are a credit to sky sports and make up for the dribble that Jamie Redknapp spits out.
Stats 7,147
Where is Henrique? I demand Henrique to show up! He wasn't convinced by Matic last season, was he?I wonder what Henrique would say about Matic now. He was one of his biggest critics. Would love to see him come and write how wrong he has been proven He is literally the complete holding midfielder. Tackles well, superb strength, anticipation/reading of the game is superb, has an eye for a pass and a few goals and his dribbling ability is not that bad as well. Not one other DM I would take over him. Eagerly looking forward to the team of the season already. At this rate we probably will have around 8-9 players on that PFA team of the year. Why? The criticism, even if over board, were made last season or a few months ago and have nothing to do with Matic's current form. I'm sorry, but I just don't like this.If I, for example, say that Oscar will not do well at Chelsea (which I have) then yes, I was obviously mistaken at the time and admit that I was wrong. But if I criticize Oscar for a bad game and he comes out and has a MOTM performance the next, that doesn't mean that I was mistaken to criticize him before. That is completely irrelevant.I know you meant it as a joke, and this isn't aimed just at you, Stats, but this is just something that annoys me on forums. Be careful Jason. Choulo will take offence and strip you off your role

The Chels 2,502
I think we now know what Jose will do in the knockout rounds of the CL.As much as a revelation as Cesc has been, him in a CM 2 in the biggest games would have been a disaster, Mikel, Matic and Cesc strikes a good balance.Oscar and Willian can fight out for the right hand side in those gamesDefinitely. It's interesting though that the team we played away to Stoke is the same we'd likely use against the likes of Real and Bayern! We certainly showed them a lot of respect and rightfully so. As for the RW position Willian will always be ahead of Oscar for these games because he has more pace. The Mak and Tomo
Tomo 21,751
Definitely. As for the RW position Willian will always be ahead of Oscar for these games because he has more pace.Yeah, Stoke away for me is arguably the hardest away game off the season after Ethiad, Old Trafford and possibly The Emirates. Arsenal never stand a chance there and City have not won there since they came up, ridiculously tough ground to visit. the wes 7,212
John Terry claims Nemanja Matic is Chelsea's new Claude Makelele"You look at the exciting days when the manager first came, and Claude Makelele was the master in that position where Matic plays and Matic is very close to that," the skipper was quoted saying by the Sunday Mirror. "We missed him at Newcastle."
TheOneChan95 225
John Terry claims Nemanja Matic is Chelsea's new Claude MakeleleBoth are excellent at reading the game and breaking up the play. But Matic is far better at playing passes forward.

Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted December 24, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted December 24, 2014 As much as Matic is integral to the team, those with and without stats are ALWAYS bullshit. They never have any meaningful indications because they overlook a lot of more important variables. In this case, the vast majority of the matches that Matic has missed were 1) last season when our team was fairly weaker and 2) in the CL knockout stages that he was cup-tied for and which are obviously much tougher matches to win than PL and domestic cup games. zolayes, DYC., The Chels and 2 others

Roquila 1,335
While we are talking about cloning players can we clone Jose and freeze the clones? Everytime the original Jose retires we just thaw a Clone.
Hkibou 622
Unfortunately this is not how cloning works. Having the exact same genetics doesn't mean becoming the same person. We see this with twins who can become very different persons over the years, because some genes "activate" or not in reaction to a specific social environment. To clone Matic or Mourinho in order to have exact same player/manager, it would be extremely difficult because it would mean having to monitor the environment of the clones during their whole lives so that it is the exact same environment in which the original Matic and Mourinho grew up. It's very possible that a cloned Matic wouldn't be interested in football at all for example. Liquidator
