Hes really a box to box player, would be a decent rotation option for Ramires but nothing more as he's quite frankly average and not better than Rami. Some Inter fans are a bit confused as to why he was signed as Stramma used him as #10 but not to create chances but to win the ball up further up the pitch as hes much more of a combative player than a creative one, which is an ok idea but when your team lacks creativity like Inter did... not a very good idea. He has a good shot, quite a physical player but has ridiculous decision making on various things like passing, tackling and when to shoot and when not to shoot.

Would like Kovacic from Inter though, he's a gem, can be what we need in the middle of the park, good passer, has incredible vision, perhaps he will end up playing further up though I was tweeting an Inter fan the other night who said hes being moulded into a Pirlo like player by the looks of it but he thinks that he'd be better closer to the strikers. Or even Taider he's more in the mould of what we need than Guarin.

LOL Seriously? To start with he's more naturally an attacking midfielder than a CM. That's where he's played for most of the season. Second, he's no where near Chelsea quality. He's strong and can run all day, but apart from that, he brings next to nothing.

BS story, imo.

Chelsea is ready to make a move, Inter's Fredy Guarin is Their target. Yesterday we reported Branca and his staff's blitz to London, the future of the Colombian midfielder Has yet to be decided. Chelsea is reportedly offering 15 million while Inter is seeking 20 million. There is distance between the parties but it's Likely they will bridge the gap.Mourinho wants Guarin and he knows he will not Likely For Those figures do better. They have also spoken about Demba Ba, but before Chelsea moves him they want another striker. London is calling Guarin.

Di Marzio's reporting it, so I'm inclined to believe it's not BS.

That's like saying Ramires is a RM because Di Matteo played him there. He's a CM that can do a job in other positions.

He is strong, can run, pick a pass and has a ferocious shot. He is really balanced and has no significant weaknesses. But, yeah he is not really any better than Ramires. He would be a decent option for depth, but we need a strong, creative pass master next to Rami to balance their attributes completely. But for a decent price I would not say no.

The difference is that Guarin does not have the natural ability of a CM, especially on the ball. That's why Matzarri is playing him as an attacking midfielder when Inter are seriously lacking a central midfielder. He prefers to play Kovasic, who is an attacking midfielder, at CM for his passing and general ability on the ball and plays Fredy as an attacking midfielder to use his physical attributes for Inter's pressing system.

he has 4 games in attacking mid and 11 games in centre mid. alvarez is the attacking mid more often
