Now I am no longer that concerned of who should play as no 10. Oscar and mata played extremely well in ucl. The key for me is can mazacar all play well at the same time or one of the front three have to be winger like Schurrle.

I meant when Mata was unfit... that's the problem. If a player is showing he's unfit, he should be recovered first.

Hazard is completely out of shape. Why should we keep him in the team while André is playing like that? That's the only thing I meant... not that Mata should be benched now, but when the season started and he didn't show up in the matches he played...

Both had spells in the middle today, as the number 10, I still think in this system Oscar is performing better, but I still love seeing Mata on the pitch. Interchanging among the mid 3 is probably the solution.

Mata might not have had the best game today. He looked a bit tired, to me.

The next 10 days, he is off. Most likely, he won´t play ,much for Spain. Therefore, I see him being fresh again.

as our attacking mid, it seems very well balanced. Or, we could shore up our two pivots with someone more defensive which would then allow mata to play the number 10 role more freely so he could flourish again.

Oscar has been our best player this season, Scurrle has been excellent and tactically very important for Jose, Mata has been very good since Swindon and now Willian goes and does what he did today. I do NOT want to be Jose and make the selection decisions after the international break!

My personal guess would be that we will see:

Hazard Mata Willian

Partly because Oscar has the long trip everyone has already mentioned. And he seems to be giving the form players a go. And coming off the bench and scoring in the last 15 mins is pretty good. And hazard did the same though i expect him to be back simply because he has fully recovered and i doubt Schurrle did enough to bench Hazard.

Yeah, we'll definitely have to rest a few players for Cardiff as the Schalke game is a must win. I'd even throw KDB in there or at least give him 30 mins off the bench.
