If we but Eto'o that would be stupid since we could easily have kept Drogba instead (which we should have looking at our shit strikeforce right now)

Drogba wanted to leave. He said he done everything he wanted with Chelsea and he wanted a new challenge.

I love the fact that pretty much every modern world-class African player can say they've played for us now. Like Arsenal have their link with French players, I think we'll always have this link with African players. Drogba, Eto'o, Weah, Essien, Kalou  That's impressive.

Welcome to Chelsea football club!

He must be really motivated and wants to win a trophy if he's come here after a massive pay cut.

A motivated, experienced player for free!

Hats of to Mourinho, Emanelo and whoever was involved in this deal! :tophat:

Not sure if Eto'o or 2003 Nelly

Or the pick of the lot. The legend himself Mikel!

His wages are less than whatever Falcao, Cavani or Rooney would have demanded. He's come as a free transfer(?). This is Samuel F'ing Eto'o.

Even on a 1-year contract I think this will be one of our most important ever signings. He's going to kick off the re-revolution of Mourinho's era here. He'll leave a legend after only 1 season I believe, just like Drogba did at Marseille.

Legend.

This is the end of Torres. He played a ridiculous amount of games last season, he won't even feature in half that number under Mou. He better ask to leave to save any tiny chance he has of making it to Brazil lol.

I think this is more the end of Ba than the end of Torres...

Mourinho actually enjoys the way Torres plays (or try to), while he already has in Lukaku an improved Demba Ba. Also, Torres wages are a huge problem for us getting rid of him...

That was fast. Welcome on board, Samuel!

I find it odd the club didn't tell his squad number in the article confirming his signing. Perhaps he's going to get a number that's currently taken? Ba's 19, Moses' 13 or maybe even his favoured number 9 shirt if we're lucky? He had 99 at Anzhi so if he wanted that, surely they would have let us know already?

Yeah, definitely agree with you on this...

Also, I think it was and wasnt a free transfer at the same time, lol. I believe Roman agreed to pay 32mi on Willian so he could hijack him from Spurs and clear the path for Anzhi to release Eto'o for free!

Torres wants to play football, i could see him trying to force a move through (even if its on loan) as his place in Brazil looks under threat.

After Munich he went sulking to the media saying he might consider his future until we made that obscene promise to him that he will be number 1.

Yeah Ba is leaving for sure, but Torres won't start or play as much now. Eto'o would be 1st choice, and Lukaku is good enough to be his backup, terrorizing tired defenders.

Our 50m man will be playing in Capital One Cup.
