The campaign would've been more effective imo if they revealed the shirt along with it to exploit the hype and attract more consumers.

I honestly dont see how this strategy can be a success. Id imagin pre order sales are pretty low about now compared to other years(except for Cathies xxxl pre order which is on direct debit every year cause shes the best fan ever). Id imagin if the shirt is as nice as Adidas think it will be there will be a mad rush on the 15th for it but still dont see what this has proved. Was annoying enough a few years back when they would release a pic of sections of the shirt but this is grim

We typically play the last league game of the season in the next year's kit. I do remember us wearing the new kit in the final of the 2008 CL final. Thought it was a bad idea at the time, and if I remember correctly, so did some of the players.

Don't we always play our last league game of the season in the new home kit (assuming if we can wear our blue kit)? Last season we played with this season's home kit against Blackburn in the last game though we did play with last season's home kit instead in the CL final.

If you read what i quoted before you see that somebody thought the moscow final was the first match with the 08-09 kit

The Premier League state you are allowed to wear a new kit in either a) the final of the FA Cup or the final home game of the season. Hence why in 2007/08 we were also allowed to wear the new kit in the UCL Final in Moscow.

If you recall in 2008/09 when beat Blackburn 2-0 in the final home game of the season in the 09/10 home kit, then played Sunderland 3-2 away in the 08/09 blue shirt with collar, before beating Everton wearing the gold and blue shirt in the FA Cup final. You can mix and match at will, moreorless!
