I know they feel they have to change the kit considerably each year to make it unique and in their eyes more saleable but the away and third kits are there for experimentation. The collar and trims can be changed if they need to (white, gold, black) and even the shade of royal blue can be slightly lighter or darker but the home shirt should always be plain blue with no patterns. That should be the one people want to buy but in recent years the away and third kits have been better. Having said that I must say the rumoured third kit looks very smart.
