What's with that bloody pattern on the collar?

Is it some kind of West London connection?

In the zoomed view it just looks like they took the Chelsea lion and stretched him all over.....but why??? Who would do such a thing....

Looks like they heard the positive feedback for our "retro" cup kit and decided to go full retro in a worst understanding of this word possible.

I mean wtf is this, collar apart, it looks like bad kit template for FIFA 2014. I liked the fact we transitioned to Nike but since few seasons we are riddled with most effortless, uninspired and generic stuff possible, both kits and merch wise.

I swear..whoever is in charge of kit design there doesn't care much for Chelsea.

Still, you'd think the club can also say no to a design that doesn't look good.

Is it too much to ask for something like this:

Granted the shorts this season are similar. But could be better.

Collar looks awful but at least it's back to a plain blue shirt by the looks of it rather than a pattern. I know they feel they have to change the kit considerably each year to make it unique and in their eyes more saleable but the away and third kits are there for experimentation.

The collar and trims can be changed if they need to (white, gold, black) and even the shade of royal blue can be slightly lighter or darker but the home shirt should always be plain blue with no patterns. That should be the one people want to buy but in recent years the away and third kits have been better.

Having said that I must say the rumoured third kit looks very smart.
