Besiktas president Fikret Orman has confirmed that talks with Chelsea over Demba Ba are ongoing.

"When we complete a transfer we will release the information on the Public Disclosure Forum," Orman said.

"Demba Ba is an excellent player and we have been in talks with Chelsea for a long time over bringing him to Istanbul.

"Talks are ongoing, Chelsea initially wanted £10 million for Ba but we have negotiated a price we are happy with.

I agree, but he was always the one who was going to make way and be sold/loaned. We simply couldn't go into a season with Costa, Ba and Torres.

there is no new name to insert. atleast none that would be better than lukaku or avulable in the price we sell lukaku for!!

whats worse is that these 3 players cost us 100mil in themselves, and they might still prove to be our achilees heel.

Not good enough to be a starter, but he's at least better than Torres as 2nd choice.

i think torres will be 3rd choice. no way jose will make the same mistake as last season. lukaku will be 2nd choice.

Never Chelsea standard to be a regular, but always gave 110%, scored some important goals, loved being a part of Chelsea Football Club, always had a positive attitude, and did everything that was asked of him.

Never complained to the media or moaned about playing time either. Lukaku could learn a thing or two from his situation.

If you think about it, even Costa is not 1st choice by default. He will obviously be our best striker but he has to prove it still.

he will do what the club and jose want him to do. i would rather have that a hungry and to prove-himself LUKAKU comes off the bench when we are 1-1 at the 60th minute rather than selling/loaning him and making torres our no.2 striker.
