I'm glad that Besiktas denied the supposed deals of Ba and Marin because it's absolutely ridiculous to loan them. If we're not gonna use them - sell them or move to reserves but don't loan them.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba set for Besiktas

I know it's Goal.com but there are direct quotes from the Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman:

The initial price for him was €13m (£10.3m) but we've managed to reduce it. We'll tell the media once the final deal is done.

If these quotes are to be believed, a deal is close to being finalized and for a pretty good price too even if it's slightly less than the £10.3m mentioned there. At least it looks like it will be a permanent transfer and not a loan. Interesting to see whether they'll also be taking Marko Marin like has been speculated in the last few days.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman has confirmed that talks with Chelsea over Demba Ba are ongoing.

"When we complete a transfer we will release the information on the Public Disclosure Forum," Orman said.

"Demba Ba is an excellent player and we have been in talks with Chelsea for a long time over bringing him to Istanbul.

"Talks are ongoing, Chelsea initially wanted £10 million for Ba but we have negotiated a price we are happy with.
