The only place to be 11,313
I feel like I'm becoming very one-note but has anyone raised the point that Guardiola is a big fan of Falcao? Considering he's the number one target to become our manager, surely that point is important.
Strike 7,489
Jelavic has 1 in 6 games and only 6 goals this season. Torres has more while playing badly almost every game.Thank god you said "stats aside" that was the point inspite of not scoring goals, he has the basic instinct to attack the ball. the winner against tottenham when he just ran past a static back four on the off-chance the ball came through. the ball did come through and he stabbed it home. torres goals are more like - stroll into the box and tap-in. the newcastle goal aside, he hasn't scored from a half-chance i think.... TrippingStep 336
Cavani fits best, he can link up with play far better then the others, he'll suits the PL more also. We'll also get him importantly much cheaper then we would of last year and much cheaper then falcao this year.I agree. For me he's one of the best all-around forward.

SeB 1,281
i think Jelavic is better than Torres. stats aside, how many times have we seen torres run at the defenders and lose the ball? how many times have we seen the playmakers put the ball in to see Torres fail to attack it? Jelavic is an instinctive striker who lurks on the shoulder of the defenders and ALWAYS attacks the ball when crossed. I'm fed up with Torres constantly offside, triggering his runs too late, fouling defenders when he pressurizes them... Jelavic would be a massive upgrade to that. OH WAIT
Muzchap 8,966
Hes unhappy that hes not playing and apparently they are considering selling him the summer I read on that Spanish blokes Sulia thing.Yup Arsenal have been linked to him for a loan-to-own scheme in Jan!If he's coming to London, it should be West not North...I would just get him on Loan and a decent defensive DM, then do it properly in the summer!! Jase 43,479
He's one of Barcelona's highest paid players, he won't come here especially to take a wage cut.Plus he's too old anyway.Old but still quality and better than a younger Torres! As for the wages, we might not have to pay his wages 100% if we were to take him on loan. That can easily be negotiated.

He wouldn't be the first player to get worse after injury.

Don't think he would be affected THAT badly by his injury compared to an ACL one.

I don't get why he can't play at Barca also, Pedro and Sanchez are not exactly playing great.

I don't get why he can't play at Barca also, Pedro and Sanchez are not exactly playing great.Even before his injury, he already seem to have problems at Barcelona. Perhaps they just prefer an actual wide player playing on the flanks and just let Messi score all the goals. And speaking of Messi, he seems to be having some sort of issues with Villa as well. On two different occasions they've both argued on the pitch, and it's obvious the manager would take the side of Messi.
Kojo 4,676
Looks like we are definitely getting a striker now, especially with Sturridge on the way.Cavani seems like the best striker for us who is a realistic target.Things what i like about Cavani is, is his work rate which is fantastic for a player of his standard, normally players with his talents are all stuck up there arse they wont bother. He also works very well with the team, Napoli has a quick attacking system, and Cavani links up perfectly, remember the damage he and Lavezzi did against us working together?. He's no average man on the ball, look at his goals against Inter Milan, when he took on about 6 players then rounded the keeper and just tapped it in.We obviously know he's a lethal finisher, he is definitely much better than Torres, Cavani likes to score goals. But the best thing about Cavani is, is that he's not scared to go in for a header and will jump into anything, that's how he scores a lot of goals. Like against City he scored two very difficult goals in the same match, and that's because he isn't scared to go jumping in, and he gets results.I think Cavani is getting overlooked here, had he scored the hattrick instead of Falcao it would be the other way around. We should definitely try and get cavani at least anyway, it would be a shame to not at least try as he's our best option out there.
