Working so hard? What ru mental? If u r talking about working hard in football. I disagree, but if u r talking about corruption. Then I agree! FFS ever seen UTD play. Idiots they never dominate the game yet always always win!! Bloody corrupt referee bribing cheats (http://diminbeirut.typepad.com/). They are shit complete shit. Everything they win is controversial or lucky! EVERYTHING!!!

Excuse me?

Have you gone mad recently or is this your permanent state of mind?

How could Mourinho influence Cech? Did he change his keeping style or what? When we bought Cole he was already one of the best left-backs in the world and both Cole and Mikel played roughly over 1 season with Mourinho. Please don't tell me he made them great players they are now... The only player that was a rough diamond polished by Jose was Drogba and tbh if it wasn't for that Cech penalty save he would be called a villain instead of a hero. He also gave that penalty away that Messi couldn't convert.

Isn't football succes always a result of couple of years of hard work? Mourinho had as much to do with us winning the trophy as all the previous managers, well maybe except Scolari. He did give us Bosingwa tho :eyebrows:

Mate, that penalty Messi couldn't convert was a total Fabregas dive. No contact whatsoever. Can't blame Drogba for that.

here's what Mourinho said about Lamps after working with him for only 1 year: http://www.thesun.co...lackburn-2.html

Everybody tries to stay positive but the discussion was about Fergie's words who happened to be true this one time. Robbie deserved to go to Japan for that trophy. That's it. The board could have waited another 2 weeks. There are only 5 matches between today and the CWC. Four of them being Fulham, West Ham, Sunderland and FC Nordsjaelland which I think we would have won with Robbie.

Because what successful businessmen often do is hold fire on making decisions out of sentimentality.

Do not take this personaly but your post is a perfect reflect of todays football society. Football should not under any circumstances be a buisness; sadly it is.

You're a bit late to the party. Maybe you could have a pop at Spurs for listing themselves on the stock market in the 80s or Liverpool for plastering Hitachi over their shirts in the 70s, but there's way too much money involved in football to not treat it like a business.

Your name isn't Peter Risdale is it? He didn't like the idea of treating football clubs like businesses either.

I bet he should fire his staff in heat of the moment after some kind of a loss.

We can't win the Champions League (probably), but we could win the CWC. Why not give the new manager a chance to get his feet under the table before it starts?

This was the best time to do it. He can assess the squad, make minor changes and then the club can bring some new faces in come January.

Because Fergie is a sad old man who does this on the reg.

no doubt about it dude. but in this statement there is nothin wrong. the statement is absolutely true especially the part about rdm being the manager to win club world cup (god knows he atleast deserved a crack at it). just dont understand some of the outrageous comments here.

Nothing wrong with what Ferguson said, stop getting your knickers in a twist.

This forum never ceases to amaze me, at first people were crying that we had Rafa, now many of you are sticking up for him.. not that i'm complaining, but it's amazing what two days can do for you..

For the record, i'm not one of these fans who are 'hurt' by what Rafa said, even though it feels weird i'm going to support Rafa and Chelsea.

that's why we should rob the legend who not only played and won cups for us but also led us to our greatest club success from the opportunity of winning the Club World's Championship to let the man that said we lacked passion have a good start? okay :) I wonder if you would react the same way if for example Rafa brought Ferdinand and started him in the CL final instead of JT.

There's no room for sentiments in football, right? it's just a regular business, isn't it?

looking at this situation, man really must have been right. we do lack passion.

Sorry, from now on you may call me old fashioned.

EDIT: And yeah, I got your point; there just some things that do not change in life perspective
