Expanding on the goal stats from our forwards earlier.

Torres in the prem - just under 1 in 6.

All comps - just over 1 in 4.

Eto'o in the prem - just over 1 in 2.

All comps - just under 1 in 3.

Ba in the prem - just under 1 in 5.

All comps - just under 1 in 4.

Also bear in mind Ba has barely got 90 minutes since arriving and Torres got unconditional full outings between Drogba leaving and Ba arriving make it even more damming for Nando.

Ba is not very good and no where near Chelsea standard but nothing will convince me he's worse than Torres.

Ba's minutes-per-goal ratio is actually amazing. He's only made 6 starts this season. His sub appearances normally come after the 70th minute. I doubt he's even played 1000 minutes for us this season - I reckon he's averaging a goal every 125 minutes or so.

He wouldn't be a terrible 3rd choice, but he is paid the wage of a nailed in first teamer. If he doesn't cost us £18m/year and is on less than £70000/week then it's not a problem.

But the reality is that he is the most expensive player in the books at the moment, in terms of what he costs us per year in wages and amortized transfer fee. And I think all of us agree that he's had enough chances, even if there are no transfer fees it would still be alright because surely no one will want to pay his high wage + transfer fee, we just need to get that 18m/year liability of the books . If he takes a wage cut then it is a different story, but will he or won't he?

He should, because he is terrible.
