Fernando Torres

They couldn't pick a more obvious problem and easiest topic to talk about, could they?

Anyway, valid points made by them three except for one. Martin Lipton is talking absolute rubbish when he said Torres always put the effort in and move himself about. He only does that when he fancies it. Otherwise, he'll just jog around and couldn't really give a tosh and that happens A LOT!

I have noticed that Torres normally only performs when things are going well for Chelsea. When the going gets tough, e.g. Saturday; he is useless. The only shiny light from him this season was, his winner against City.

This man is just a nightmare that keeps on giving. Despite all the fans' desperate pleas to no longer be subjected to his horrific displays, he just won't go away. We all know what's going to happen whenever he takes to the pitch, but it doesn't matter because we still have to watch it.

What actually happened to Torres? i mean five years ago he was the best striker in the world. I know he had so many injuries and of course you would expect him to lose a bit of pace and explosiveness, but his whole game has deteriorated. He was known for his Acceleration, movement and finishing, very similar to Owen in that regard, but when Owen lost his pace through similar injuries, he still had great movement and finishing.

I know, right?!

I think the answer lays 100% in confidence. It's amazing how quickly it can go... but it is what it is...

Scoring goals is off course an easy way to rate someone (no matter how good/bad he was in that game).

Now that Torres completely stopped scoring (at the rate Suarez is doing at the moment) ... people lose there patience and confidence.

Probably also the coach and his teammates. This must have gotten into his head... That's the only solution I can think off.

I surely cannot blame his work ethic... he runs his butt off in every game. Also he still has it in him to pass by defenders with an amazing ease (Hazardesque), where I know a lot of strikers will be jealous about!

He simply just stopped being productive! And if there is one thing you expect from a top striker at a top club...
