Fernando Torres

The usual Torres below mediocrity display. Even when we were on top he never really imposed himself on the game.

I doubt he'll start against Villa. If he does, it's only because José is probably saving Ba for United considering he likes to score against them.

He doesn't offer anything, he gets in the way more than anything. He gets the ball and automatically wants to get rid of it to someone. He's fucking hopeless.

I disagree with that! its actually the opposite, he gets the ball and tries to do too much with alot of the time then lose it, i would to see him get the ball and lay it off to one of the creative players straight away then make a run into the box, instead he will get the ball and try and dribble past a wall of defenders and of course lose it!

Do you know what the main difference to me between Torres and Sturridge is: One plays for Chelsea and the other doesn't. Can we quit the pointless comparisons, please?

Really? So we are now just praising him for making some nice passes and linking up the play when mainly, he was nowhere to be seen in the final third where he should be to score...

Funny. When Ba does that in matches and he immediately gets bashed from all directions.

That's not really fair. Even though he did not score (or even attempt to) his movement was one of the main reasons we performed so well in the first half.

Torres is 29 already, even if he ever breaks his mental block and starts scoring, it wont take long, the body wont allow at age 30+...

With all that shit going on around him, whenever I watch him, I never think that he is almost 30...When Terry and Cole were 29 o was actualy sad because I knew they are not young anymore and time cant be stopped...while with Torres...i dont realy care.

Unfair? No. Don't completely disagree that his movement was decent but people are making it out better than it was. It was only decent at times. At times. For most of the other time he was on, he looks disconnected with others and still carrying that usual body language of not being interested.

And speaking of movement, I actually couldn't believe what I saw when Hazard won a free kick near the halfway line on the left flank very very early on in the game. Hazard was looking to charge down that side with the ball and Torres suddenly decides to come over from the middle and run into a position and stood directly in front of the space Hazard was getting into.
