calculatingInfinity 1,472
If I was Torres I'd just come out and say: I'm leaving/staying. Why complicate things and leave people nervous all day.If it was up to him he would obviously leave, he already put in a transfer request, I think that says enough. Laylabelle 9,535
Liverpool have said their bit/put out a price all down to Chelsea now really
Kostas 1,468
it's the club's and they know better than me, you or anyone else when and how much to spend. That deserves its own 1000post topic.
chrismada9 1,948
Yeah but you used to slag me all the time when I told you I liked Torres! haha This clearly means more to me....haha I don't even remember that! But yeah okay, if you like Torres, then you like Torres, nothing wrong with that is there?

Laylabelle 9,535
I'm sorry but who wouldn't want Fernando Torres. I can't believe how anti-chelsea sky sports are, saying Ancelotti doesn't want him. That's bollocks, Carlo isn't like Mourinho. He won't throw a tantrum if Roman signs a world class player.Andy Gray's presence still lingers then.Guy was so bloody anti Chelsea obviously left a mark
neel 257
Why care more about money than success? We need to win the Champions League and Torres is Champions League quality. It's not your or my money, it's the club's and they know better than me, you or anyone else when and how much to spend. Be more optimistic.it's not my money but everything has it's consequence, good or bad.
Henrique 9,133
I rather have Andy Carroll than this overrated spanish. In my opinion Chelsea only made a bid for Torres to show that Abramovich is still interestet in Chelsea.

chrismada9 1,948
I rather have Andy Carroll than this overrated spanish.I see where you're coming from, I think Carroll is a great striker. Would be a much cheaper option, but £30 million is still a large sum of money IMO.

Term-X 7,891
Andy Carrol would still be a risk...He's Sturridge part II.
LDN Blue 7,903
He's Sturridge part II.Thus, Carlton Cole III We shouldn't be trusted with English talent yet
chrismada9 1,948
We'd just be accused of ruining him yeah I agree, ruining him in a sense that we don't use him enough. Like TX says, it would be another Daniel Sturridge case.
neel 257
My only concern is whether we will be able to buy few more good player in coming seasons if we pay 50 m now for torres. Honestly we need some quality players in next 2-3 seasons. And any Pienaar or benayoun wont fit the bill.

eldo 868
LOL I just remembered when we signed Benayoun and someone said "maybe it's a ploy to attract Torres!". Whoever you were, you deserve a medal! They were roomates in the hotel on away matches.
