nullabletype 987
No one in the world has the right to say, I'll leave the club if Drogba doesn't. I don't care what they've achieved outside Chelsea, this guy is up there with Osgood as the greatest to ever pull on a blue shirt. What in the world is this nonsense? I'm going to assume the implication here is that Torres said "I'll leave the club if Drogba doesn't". If so, please point me in the direction of this quote. Since I'm fairly certain it doesn't exist, I'd very much like to know how you extrapolated your comment from even the worst Torres quotes (the one's that had conveniently left out all the positives) before it was discovered that he is in fact not the bogey man he had been made out to be.Some people... capriccioso 2,545
We've got about 55 games (assuming we get out of the CL group stages and go fairly deep) next season. 25 starts for Torres, 20 for Drogba, and 10 for Lukaku.

You can understand this in the heat of the moment. But Torres made his comments after he had just won the CL. It should have been the best moment in his life. Yes should have been disappointed, but like everyone else in the world, he should take it out in training to prove that he deserves to play the next cup final. What Torres said is not acceptable and should be punished by the club. He is not stupid, what he said is not about the final. He was threatening the club to leave if they offer Drogba a new contract. As if he will be missed here.Where, oh where, will we get a goal (against the weakest sides we play against) every six matches??!

Spike 12,049
I would not mind if he left. He is a lone wolf and contrarily loves to be the centre of attention. He won the big one and the FA Cup but he has a nasty habbit of being carried to success ever since the World Cup. He might score some pretty goals but he isn't the player to carry us on to more success.

RamiCFC9 258
Drogba is leaving.Torres main striker.Ugly football no more.To win CL for the first time with such performance, iam ok with that. But alas.In terms of quality of football this was by far our worse season in Abramovic era.Yes I want Chelsea to win every cup possible, but not with this horrible for the eye performance.. capriccioso 2,545
No, he's not the type of guy to carry a team on his shoulders like Drogba has done for years. I think he's better off being a star rather than the star.
Las7 951
Drogba is leaving.Torres main striker.Ugly football no more.To win CL for the first time with such performance, iam ok with that. But alas.In terms of quality of football this was by far our worse season in Abramovic era.Yes I want Chelsea to win every cup possible, but not with this horrible for the eye performance..Just because you have a crush on Torres doesn't mean Drogba is a reason we played ugly - fact is since Robben and Duff left we have had very few good wingers, but anyone comes out telling me that we didn't play sexy football with Robben and Duff on the wings is mental. It's not Drogs fault we signed SWP; Malouda; Zhirkov; Kalou etc and all failed to replicate what Robben and Duff added from the wings. Hopefully in the summer we finally address this and buy a proper right winger with a bit of trickery; crossing ability and flair to make the side more balanced. With the current squad without a major 2 signings in the summer we'd be served more dross without the Big Man to make the difference and score his one chance per game. It's ludicrous to some of the revisions posters like you make - Drogba can play in a team that is all about flair and creativity as his first two seasons along side Robber; Lampard and Duff had shown. Torres is going to get his chance but if he falters again by October he would be back on the bench - no doubts about that. We probably already have a forward line up since Lukaku is going on loan and we would be left with only Torres and Sturridge. It's up to him to deal better with the pressure and prove himself good enough to play in big games the way Drogba did through out his carrier. In fact if he doesn't sort himself out by the winter he would be loaned/sold off to whichever team is willing to pay his wages.Good luck to Torres turning things around but personally I would not be confident having only him & Sturridge up top. RamiCFC9 258
Drogba unconsciously made us play ugly football, because the players just knew "just throw the ball to Drogba and he will do whatever is needed" and that was enough. But alas man how much longer are we going to play like this really ? Spike 12,049
As far I'm concerned as long as games are won the football is beautiful. I would rather play Catenaccio and win trophies than play like Arsenal and have Arsenal's success with trophies. capriccioso
RamiCFC9 258
What about play like Arsenal or Barca and have Barca's success with trophies.Won't that be the best for our club ?As i said i just want the best for this club.

capriccioso 2,545
I've had enough of this pretty football nonsense. Nothing is more beautiful than a wonderfully orchestrated counter attack.
Spike 12,049
In the 04-05 season I think Chelsea only conceded 12 goals. Nothing is more empowering than that. Tomo

RamiCFC9 258
U can like defensive football but such people are minority. Therefore a team who plays defensive football will never have the fanbase of the clubs who play attractive. And fans for a football club is everything.I want to see ChelseaFC one day as the biggest club in the world, but this will never happen if we continue to play like this. Las7 951
If you want to watch Arsenal and Barca you're more than welcomed to do so, I'm sure you can easily delete your account here and create one on an Arsenal or Barca forum. This bullsh*t you are saying about Drogba making the team play ugly without taking into consideration the players we had around since Robben and Duff left and Essien/J.Cole had their many injuries is starting to get on my nerves.
