headhunter23 70
you dont say.relax mate, if he doesnt score in that game, there will be a 2 week analysis on how the moment he showed his golden boot somehow affected his performance and how he lacked the confidence to score in a big game in front of his hometown crowd, or some other VALID arguements Ive seen on this thread
BleedsBlue 1,549
About the Golden boot debate.Had it not been for Torres's poor finishing and unselfishness,he would have probably scored 5 or more goals in the competition.
Nedy08 27
I hope we're all praising Torres by this time next year. I really don't want Torres to leave. One of my favorite players ever.
Popular Post! BlueLion. 21,491 Posted July 14, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted July 14, 2012 Look, if he can't take any confidence from winning the CL, FA Cup, Euros and the Golden Boot into next season, plus the fact there is no longer the thought of Didier Drogba keeping him ever in his shadow to contend with, then he'll never ever ever get back to his best. BleedsBlue 1,549
Torres should listen to Lose yourself by Eminem before the games.I find it quite a motivating song. jmarlow

Not to worry, you buddy Eminem is on there spitting some serious rhymes
Kojo 4,676
If Torres doesn't pick himself up next season and not score enough goals. Just get rid of him, for the good of this club, he has done enough damage as it is, and there's no excuse because now he has good players around him, especially if we get Hulk. capriccioso

westcountryblue 25
This is a BIG season for El Nino, he has to deliver. The shadow of Drogba has gone and he really needs to step up to the plate.I really believe that this could be the season for him, but I fear if it isn't then it may be his last here. capriccioso 2,545
I don't like how we're tripping over to ensure he's the main man and won't be challenged. Look at Drogba, he had to fight off so many players to cement himself as first choice striker. His ego can't be that fragile, and if it his, he's a liability. Peace. and Term-X

Django 83
Fernando must have loved what he saw last night in the first half. The fluidity of the attacks suit his style well, and he should be getting plenty of chances. Thing is, my own eyes just didn't see that - last night we looked more fluid and pacey ala Spain.I can only see good things for the team and Torres this year jmarlow
BlueLion. 21,491
I bet Torres can't wait to be up front with Ramires, Sturridge, Marin, Hazard, Mata and potentially Moses and Oscar to supply him with ammunition. I'd be itching to play. jmarlow
