diskoviolente 425
At this point in the whole Torres Football Dystopia I just want something positive to happen to the lad. It is just a sad story. Hopefully he´s got some good private life going on and some sort of a belief. Being excluded by the national team was inevitable and being dropped to the bench even though he looks like he is trying very hard...I just feel for the fella.Sorry, just read the post-ban on this. LDN Blue 7,903
I agree.Could of fooled me.Yes, because dogs get payed 180 thousand a week.Whatever we feel about his performance and such it's incredibly harsh to suggest he's unphased by any of it simply because of the amount of money he makes. He obviously recognises he's having a torrid time of it doing the job that he's being paid for, like Zolayes said, he's still human and money doesn't necessarily mean every footballer doesn't have a right to be unhappy. Or that we should lack empathy. Sheva. and Trueblue1982

Or that we should lack empathy.I wasn't being serious... many of my previous comments have been sarcastic, but i'll respond to your reply. Obviously he will be phased, but he deserves the criticism, He's a professional footballer, getting paid 180 thousand per week, while playing like a league 2 player... it's not like we're insulting him personally, only his performances, so i'm not sure why people are saying we 'lack empathy' or whatever. I also hate the way the media portray Torres as a little boy with no confidence... i think that's why many people feel sorry for him because they believe he is a fragile, child when in reality that's probably not the case.
