Naked Mole Rat 437
What, guys? This is something that needs to be discussed, although I guess it could have been included in the Torres thread.Anyway, Torres has no desire whatsoever to achieve anything. I mean, he misses a few games and is finally given a chance to show what he's got, and he doesn't even want to head the ball. I was an idiot to think that he would be fired up enough to get going. And what was up with that dribbling when there were at least a couple players getting into decent positions? Villas-Boas was completely right about leaving him out, and I hope he does that with Torres until the day he leaves.
termninja 5,290
Stumbled upon this video...damn can't believe how great he once was...even the way he moves and runs with the ball now looks so sluggish and clumsy while on the vid he looks...well like someone who...could try defusing a nuclear bomb without actually knowing how and not being scared at all.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZzTyli77IE
Hd123 5
What do you want him to do in a few minutes, I love Drogba but against Wigan he was far worse than Torres was today and today Drogba was also bad. Lets wait for January when he gets a run of games.Torres has never and will never be the type of player to run himself into the ground, just wait a while and let him get some form going.I want him to try. It's not that hard, honest. You lift your feet and land on your forefoot, while moving in a specific direction. It's called running and I think he forgot how to do it.Btw Paulo was magnificent today IMOI'm not asking him to "run into the ground" if he's playing some 90 mins, but he has only been on ten minutes. Peace. 4,352
@ Hd123 : the answer to "why he doesn't run blabla" is simple. He doesn't feel himself as a Chelsea player, he is still on his "merseyside could'.
manpe 10,861
Well, let's face it, he's never going to excel at Chelsea. The sooner you give up any hope left in you, the less it will hurt in the end.

Hd123 5
Is there a site that tracks how much ground specific players cover in a match?

The sooner you give up any hope left in you, the less it will hurt in the end.We missed the chance to get him when he was good and cheap...50m price tag never gana work and hope we learn from it and dont try it a 3rd time! But saying that...January he'll have a chance to play...maybe be a turning point or just the end of the line sorta thing..he aint the same player at all... francozola 2,040
^ That Marseille goal is one of my favourite goals ever. I remember watching the highlights that day and just being in complete awe of what he did there
Justin_3d 1,140
There's having a good argument, then there's being an ignorant moron. Labelling Torres 'undoubtedly hopeless' is quite simply the produce of a deeply confused mind.Aren't you sick of making the same old tired points in every second post? I know I fucking am.My argument is this - watch Fernando go this season. And while you're at it, have faith that he'll pull through. Class doesn't just desert a man.Lampard cannot be benched though :wag_finger:Lol, we will see what AVB does i guess. In the end Justin was right! Well i just came to gloat about that, say hi to my friend Henrique, and wish all the people that liked me some good holidays.I'm in FBTZ.com and Rojadirecta.es under my old username. If you got an account there hit me up.Peace!
YouNameIt 1,511
Torres needs to START games. Putting him on for 15 minutes wont do ANY god damn good. Am I the only one who can see this?
Hd123 5
He should start against midtable/lower table teams. However a few more lazy performances and we should recoup whatever we can get.If he still puts in effort... Keep himIf not, sell
Kez 2,727
Well his Chelsea career is never going to develop into anything if he isn't given another run in the team hopefully when Drogba goes to the ACON he can finally show us what he's capable of. If he fails then sell him at the end of the season I guess.
Hd123 5
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1000203/fernando-torres-hits-back-over-liverpool-'lies'?cc=5901"It's true that [spain head coach] Vicente del Bosque is worried about me and my form for Chelsea. It's up to me to go back to being the striker I was before. If I go back to how I was a few years ago, I will again play an important role in the Spanish national team."He has the right words but his actions don't reflect it. manpe 10,861
He always says the right things, but it's easier to say than do it appears.... I can't imagine what kind of psychological battle he is fighting, he must be doubting his true quality and talent by now. No matter in what profession, there comes a point when a person starts seriously questioning his worth after failing too long... you become convinced that you, in fact, really suck. Hasn't the club sent him to a sports psychologist yet? They deal with problems like that.
coolhead23 1,147
i m seriously concerned with the way things are shaping up with Torres not sure what AVB wants but his gameplay is screaming for motivation and confidence. His touches yesterday was just horrible, i didnt understand what was AVB going to achieve by putting in Torres (who doesnt have game time and isnt in the good books of the gaffer) for the last 15mins. If this how Torres is going to be treated then i dont think we would be able to see the magical striker in his high in the Blue jersey. francozola 2,040
I hate when people compare him with Drogba to argue about his performances. Like: "Drogba's hardly setting the world on fire either" What?! So, just because Drogba is playing like shit, it excuses Torres? I am not happy with him. My patience is almost down to 0.I'm just not seeing Torres as a Chelsea FC player anymore, but rather simply as a player on the pitch that somehow ended up with a Chelsea shirt on. His heart is just not in it and if he doesn't play well in Jan then he should go back to Spain to find his passion for football again. If anyone is in any doubts about this, just watch videos from his Liverpool days. It's a different player. Peace.
