Roman doesn't just buy on a whim though. Again, that's more media bollocks. He may do now and then, but if you look at the club's buys in recent years they've been geared towards buying young talented players who we can either develop internally or send out on loan. Players like Torres and Shevchenko are the exception rather than the rule now.

Like I said before, I give him plenty of credit for his work at Valencia and it truly was remarkable for him to win the La Liga twice because we all know how much more money Barcelona and Real Madrid have at their disposal compared to Valencia. But let me put it this way, being successful with one team nearly a decade ago and then fail at a few other clubs even though he was given either plenty of resources to build a winning team (Liverpool) or was handed out a squad that was already good enough to win trophies (Inter) is not a great career by any stretch of imagination. Some managers like Frank Rijkaard for example have enjoyed far more successful careers than Benitez but I wouldn't have them anywhere near Chelsea.

And even if we were to admit that Benitez is a much better manager than Di Matteo (which he really isn't, but let's pretend for a while), there are no guarantees of success when you sack a well liked manager and replace him with a guy who's hardly going to improve the team spirit by talking shit about nearly all the players because they can't get his old buddy from Liverpool scoring again.

But that's all for now, let's give the cunt a couple more games to turn things around before we start calling for his head.

Yeah it's disgusting to be honest, the fact that he was even hired in the first place.

However the only positve we can look on is for a change a manager doing bad at first might not be so bad after all, it's the first time this has happened, even Scolari did good at first. Maybe Benitez will get better as it goes on.

Irrespective of whether you like him or not he's here for the next 6 months - so we just need to get on with it... keep positive that in the Summer we will have a REAL replacement... The only thing we need to do is FINISH 4th or higher, fuck the cups, fuck everything else - just get the team playing and looking like a team, not a bunch of people we picked up from Hackney Marshes on the way to CFC...

Unlike other managers we know he has a DEFINITE leave date - so let's get behind the Team and hope RA learns from this fucking debacle and we get a manager next time who is given more than 9 games.

I didnt agree with RDM getting the job, but sacking him after 9 games is not great for anybody... So REALLY hope our Board have learnt their lesson, also loaning out all of the 'experienced' players hasn't fucking helped!

We're in the same shape as Aston Villa - team full of youngsters and easily beaten

I'm not a fan of Benitez, but he's well-respected throughout the game and in 2009 his Liverpool team won came second in the league with 86 points. The season after we won the league with the same amount.

It has been crazy weeks.

I was first incrediblely angry! RDM was not a great manager, he was bad a giving orders, roles and training sessions and he also wasnt a great tactician. However, he was a legend, had great connection with the team and he was improving (defensive wings, double pivot, etc).

Then I got extra mad because Benitez was taking over, he is a fat spanish waiter and will always be! Nevertheless, I saw in him a hope of improving our tactics and defense (which were horrible) and a chance to light up the players. It obviously did not work out.

Now, I can only see the messages I will receive from friends (specially from Corinthians) if we sack Rafa in only 2 weeks. It will be a nightmare...

Dont get me wrong, I was faithful about Benitez, but I have fallen into reality. He is BAAAAAAD, but will he be better than Avant Grant?

If by a miracle, Roman gets a top coach (Jose, Pep, Klopp, Steve Clark, etc), I wont even care about what other people think. However, if he gets Grant, I will go nuts!
