Kinol 337
we are the worst fans. someone above me listed the reason we are bad. rafa the players and Roman featured in his list. we play a huge part to. rafa shouldn't have just lost his cool. but we made how lose his cool. those saying "all i care about is cfc, fuck rafa!" fuck you! rafa is apart of cfc! Roman made a bad choice in the first place, but we should have got over it faster and shown some support.Tbh all the fuss about appointing rafa as a manager was slowly on its way to disapear in the beginning but all the shit results he caused with bad subs, etc. led to the point where we are now. Leif 6,006
Rafa at Liverpool: "Chelsea fans lack passion." He goes on to mention the fans don't do banners, don't sing enough etc. Rafa at Chelsea: "[Chelsea fans are] wasting time doing banners or [and] singing songs." Lol good one. zolayes 14,489
The blame for the bad results is not only on Rafa. In my opinion he is50% responsible, players 25% and Roman 25% because he sacked RDM and hiring Rafa... And I am not fan of Rafa, but that is the truth.of the 25% players 99% of that is FUCKING TORRES
Rmpr 8,977
go back a few hundred years more and they killed a king by shoving s red hot poker up his arseOr we could go even a couple of centuries back to impale Benitez and stick him in our backyard as a personal trophy, just like Dracula!on a serious note to see the season out I would take George Graham or HoddleI dont even know who they are, I will take it! The Mak 4,459
While what he said my be true, the sly dig at Roman and the board doesn't help. His rant was just that, for him. I don't believe it'll bring anything positive at all. So I'm going asleep now with the hope that he'll be sacked by tomorrow. Couldn't give a shit who we appoint instead. Just as long as I know he's not in charge and can't spite/sabotage us. (Though, honestly, I'm more scared of his incompetence than him sabotaging us)Night all! Sweet dreams (of sackings!) Bacika 188
So a guy who has 50% of the blame (which I think is a bit higher, but you did a fair comparisson) has the right to give a press conference like he did?No, he said he is professional, so he should behave like that. But it was nice to hear that he is gone in May. Players knew this all the time and in the most of the games they don't show passion and fighting spirit. I do blame players too. Rafa made some serious mistakes with his tactics but in the end, the players are the ones who perform on the pitch.
different level 1,056
If Rafa indeed gets the sack I don't think the board will do much harm with just about anyone they decide to bring over since it's going to be for less than three months. I don't see the situation getting any worse and with the relief of Rafa's departure among fans and players it might get us into a sugar rush. Strike 7,516
I feel for Benitez. he has come in here and stayed professional at the face of incessant booing, insulting chants etc. he has simply focussed on his job and got on with it. we have to get over Di matteo's dismissal and Rafa's appointment as hard as it is. Champions League is a MUST to improve. we drop out of CL and our rebuilding will just get that much harder

You fell for the "I am the poor one" antics he has made since day one. He just could not have expected that we would welcome him with open arms, that impossible ; and if he did, he is one fucking retarded and clueless man. He knew what was lying ahead, when he has pened the contract — didn't he ? He dared sign for us — he deserves every bit of abuse that he gets.Keep your feeling for someone else. He asked for it, he gets it.
TacticalBlues 2,817
Firstly in regards to Benitez's critique on only being interim manager, if he deemed it inappropriate, why take the job in the first place? When questioned by the media on long term problems such as Lampard's contracts, he was happy with the title, he can't than go and question it.One the fans abuse however, I do agree with Rafa. What do the fans achieve by constant booing? IMO only damaging out push for the UCL spot and progression in whatever competition being played. We know that we are stuck with him for the remainder of the season, I don't think its too hard to support the team for ninety minutes. Any anger at the board can be vented outside the game. Constant abuse of Rafa really doesn't help anything. It would also be nice for some players to take some responsibility and perhaps support him publicly, if only a little. DJames 729
“You know, more or less, how things go (at Chelsea) in terms of what happens if you lose or win,” stated Benitez. “I have a job to do and the players are clever enough and realise they will be here next season with long contracts.“I will be working hard until the end. We have to try to beat Middlesbrough and then move on. My job is to concentrate on the next game, not the speculation.”“I can guarantee the players know what we’re trying to do and believe in it 100%. I am here to be in the top three, and do my best in every competition. After that, we will see.” - BenitezI'm just hoping it's not a case of careful what you wish for
Muzchap 8,966
Actually he's right... Hate to say it - but after listening to it he's right. He was calm and concise. We know he's leaving - no more needs to be said. Back the players 100% on the pitchInterim I also agree it's like 'Supply Teacher' or 'Temp worker' - doesn't command any respectAnd as I have said countless times - any comments he made at Liverpool are fair game - I never could find actual evidence of the actual quotes just a lot of Internet conjecture...So as much as I hate him, his team selections and the way he says 'club' the guy has a point - and we need everybody united, players and fans to ensure we finish 4th... (Unless there is a credible alternative willing to take a 3 month position?)
