LDN Blue 7,903
There definitely is some logic in leaving Benitez till the summer, especially financially, however is it worth the risk?. Coming to look at it, it's like disaster after disaster, every season. It's gone on for too long, we are a rich club and we shouldn't be struggling to get back on our feet like this, but yet we do don't we.To be fair, we're still sitting comfortably in 3rd, so it's not as bad as AVB days.. Yet.

Pathetic manager really is, being the only team to win the CL and not win the Club world cup is just embarrassing. All the other big teams kicked out of Capital one cup, and we still can't even win it.I just give up on him.

Ramzi 233
Lol, yeah lets sack the guy who's tactics have had us dominating games for the past month, his job is to put players in positions to create chances it is up to the players to score them. Manuf 1,448
Oh the great and allmighty Kalou!, how i wish you where here by my side, and on my lap, and doing other unusual things i shouldn't share on here. But that's another story/fantasy, only attacking player we could do with is someone like Anelka, offers a lot more options and is more than just a striker. But mostly i think we need defensive players and players who actually put a shift in, rather than just hanging around upfront. We seem to have all the different types of skills to be fluid, however we lack the mentallity to be fluid and the smarts, and we often leave ourselves exposed.arent you still talking about Anelka? Kojo 4,676
arent you still talking about Anelka? No not then, Anelka was a good technical player who brought a lot to the team, bad mentallity, and that's probably why it's a misleading example. Irakozium257 350
Like George Bush said to Harold and Kumar, you just read my motherfucking mind.We have also gotten rid of intelligent players such as Michael Ballack and haven't replaced them. Instead we are looking for more flair rather than the physical prescence.Ryan watch this LOOK HOW DIFFERENT OUR PLAY IS, yes i do know that season under Scolari was a bad season, but we played like this under Mourinho and Ancelotti, look how we are so physical and ever player can hold the ball up. We are not getting pushed off the ball, we don't need to have space to do something. Now we get pushed off the ball and look way too vulnerable for the other side, instead of investing in so many attackers and wanting to be the next Barcelona, we need to get some players who bring more physical and technical prescence to the team. It's why i wanted the likes of Tiote, despite getting slated for it, he's the man who can do the dirty job, like Javi Garcia for City. But not just that players who can pass the ball, who can come on and allow players to move forward and get into space. Instead we seemed to be being everybodies bitch and bending over when the other side has the better mentallity.I agree, I miss those old players, and Abramovich's dream or whatever one may call it is pathetic, I don't mind the smaller players but for christ's sake he should start buying more physical players to make a perfect balance. Players like Fellaini are exactly what we need right now, to bully both defenders and midfielders. Benitez can't totally be blamed for the fiasco tonight, the fans shouldn't have the nerve to boo and be angry like spoiled brats when they're just present as if they have betted on a victory and are just waiting for the wanted result, not cheering for every pass, from keeper to striker, not singing and praising the team without interruption when we were up, not encouraging the players to do something since they have a better angle from the stands, etc.

So we have no choice but to bare with Rafa, hope he gets us qualified for the Champions League, and then find someone in the summer really. Spike 12,049
At least with the appointment of Jose Mourinho we'd be assured that he will bring in some physicality. There are a couple of powerful midfielders that have caught my eye. But I'm sure Jose's scouting knowledge would far out muscle mine.Ignacio Camacho of MalagaEtienne Capoue of ToulouseRomulo of Spartak Moscow

Hutcho 8,443
I want him out, but who are we gonna bring in right away... I can't think of many top quality names that would be available right now... Pep isn't coming in the summer. Jose is unlikely. I would like Klopp or loew tbh but their chance is better in the summer. So I hate to say it but we are probably better off keeping him til the summer then giving ourselves 2 months to find a proper replacement. Rather than finding a bloke to be an interim for 5 months. TorontoChelsea 4,064
Voted no, because I don't think there's any point this year. We're out of the CL and not going to win the Premier League. Let someone come in the summer, have some say over transfers (I can dream, can't I?) and get a fresh start. That said, I won't exactly be crying if I woke up to find out he had gotten sacked. Funkyflashman 187
My displeasure for FSW being at the helm and my eagerness for him to disappear is at loggerheads for my desire for stability and keenness for the team not to have three managers in a season. Undecided. Oh and I hate Torres.
robdog 2,084
funny people think that getting behind telly tubby will solve the problem The problem is that FSW doesn't have a clue w/ tactics. Again, was it necessary to fire RDM? We did see RDM goto Emirates & return 3 point lane to us. Do you really have faith that telly tubby will get it done on Sunday vs. le arse? I don't. It's another fail by the Board. Enjoy the ship of fools my friends.
manpe 10,861
If the club wanted to shit on its reputation even more and erase every chance of getting a top full time manager, then sacking rafa would be the right choice.
