  1. 1. Rafa Out?

Recommended Posts

I still am not sure why people are so close-minded in terms of Rafa coming. Yeah, he said a few things about our club when he was managing a rival club, so what? He had a rough start with the first few games and the CWC fiasco (which is to be expected, considering the form we were in to begin with and the lack of time he had), but as you can see, we are starting to play much better than we have been with some great results in the past couple weeks. It's ridiculous how in spite of this, people still hold a grudge against him.

@rafafan, What reception is he likely to get on April 20th at Anfield? I assume a roaring one?

If he does what Houllier did and touches the 'this is Anfield badge' then his relationship with Chelsea fans will be broken beyond repair.

I like to see the posts talking about the possibility that Rafa might be hired long-term. However, they overlook one thing. It will be for Rafa and Abromovich to decide - not just Abromavich. Rafa turned down Chelsea's offer of a temporary contract when AVB was sacked. This time he accepted an 18 month contract with an opt-out for both parties after the end of this season. Rafa wanted that. He has other irons in the fire. He has been approached by Real Madrid several times in the past and this year that interest has been revived. He has bee approached by two other Spanish clubs, a leading German club, a leading Italian club, two national teams and some far eastern clubs. There is also the outside chance that Man City, Arsenal and LFC will be vacant come the summer. He has consistently said he prefers to work in the PL because he likes the football culture and because he wants to give his two daughters and his wife stability. (His wife's charity was voted charity of the year on the Wirral last week). The Chelsea job gives him a platform to demonstrate his qualities and win trophies. If it ends in the summer nobody will be able to say he was sacked because officially it is an interim appointment. If Ab does offer an extended contract Rafa will be in a position to bargain the terms. In the meantime he is free to negotiate a contract with other clubs without being accused of disloyalty. Not a bad position for him.

I've read most of your posts, and you are looking more of a benitez fan than a club fan, we can all support him, but you shouldnt be so concerned for him like you are related or obsessed....

I have no problem with fans of other teams being on our board as long as they are respectful and know their place. I'm getting a little fed up with seeing Liverpool fans blabbing on about Rafa. He's our manager now and we can like him or dislike him on our own.

You are ignorant. In the first place he was not sacked by Inter. He won the World Cup with them and immediately called a press conference in which he announced that if Inter would not fulfill the promise they had made to him when he took the job to let him buy players then they should negotiate his release. That was done. Since then he has had many offers (including Chelsea last year - and he refused their terms). Second, show me one of the quotes you say he was feeding to the press about reviving Torres. He has never said that. You just make it up as you go along. Your ignorance is no excuse for your prejudice.

Looks like he was sacked to me, if these arnt enough im sure I could pull up another 5 10 15 reports who all agree with me

Cant find an article that has a qoute from the bloke him self but the amount of people who were using get torres scoring as a reason for him to get the job epecially from that mug ballegue is enough to make me think his agent may have put the word out amongst the press, might be wrong to accuse him directly of saying that but wouldnt suprise me to find out his agent had a word with the press about it.

Anyway I'm bored of talking about tubby with liverpool supporters you'd stick up for him if he took a shit on the queens doorstep he is so idolised round your parts.

Mate the reception he will get will be of the same level you will give to RDM when and if he came back to the Bridge, it will be Gigantic, he has a lot of well wishers that feel bitter and angry at the club about him leaving. I cant speak for every LFC fan but if we are not challenging for Top 4 and you guys are competing for the title, then possibly some fans discretely will hope for a Liverpool defeat for RAFA not Chelsea to win the league if that makes sense.

Regarding him touching the Anfield sign, well I would not advise him to do it, but it could quite possibly be that most of the CFC fans have accepted him by then and will maybe overlook it if he does, again it depends on how successfull the team is, its all about results right now he is on a 70% win percentage, and its quiten down some of the disenters so in 4 months time he could be seen in a different light, fans are fickle mate we all want a winning team, good football, and be seen competing for trophies.

By April, you guys could be league cup champions, semi of the FA cup and Europa League, and challenging still for the Premier League, How will you view him then !

He's priviliged to be a temporary custodian of such a great club after being tarnished at scouseland.

Its good experience for him at training, meeting the players, and to stand in the hallowed Stamford Bridge technical area is an honour for the fat cunt.

Of course he was sacked, contract termination is a sacking, mutual consent is a sacking, Rafa gave Morrati 3 options , challenged him ! sack me, or buy me players, but accept you lied to me when you gave me the job ! journalists will not use contract termination or mutual consent, they will say sack because its sensational writing, and also depending on the jouno's realtionship and perspective of the victim, they will write and twist in the light they want their reader to view it , its how you sell the story. Do you read negative things about ferguson ? who never does after match press conferences for 10 years ? and bans journalist that write anything shit about him regardless of the truth ! do you see anything bad written about Harry "media darling" Redknapp or Roy hodgson , who are shite managers and have nothing of note in 35 years of management ! Do you see anything written about Brendan Rodgers who has won 6 games out of 19 matches and we are 9th ? What did you feel about the Media treatment of AVB last year ?? The Media will slant and write according to there "agenda" thats how the game works mate . They dont like Rafa . and he dont give a shit about them,

Mate I rather not go into a debate about which club is greater etc, but not sure where the tarnish in scouseland comes from ??? its senseless spiel once again,

Roman knew what he was doing then. :getin:

By the way Happy New Year to all football fans. May we all see many great games in 2013.

Have a look at this post I found in the shed end from a poster called Dorset, I think the poster is trying to say move on

Has he gone yet? You know who I mean. That guy who looks like a fat Spanish waiter. The one who recently arrived at our table uninvited, brought in by the owner of our beloved restaurant at around the time Robbie started dropping a few plates. Never liked him, right from the moment I clapped eyes on him years ago, serving Scouse front of house in a greasy spoon I could never abide. Vowed it would be the only time I’d clap him too, bearing in mind he once had the gall to say that the menu he was peddling back then was better than ours. Renowned and five-sided he said it was, boastful git, whereas ours was naff and plastic. Bloody cheek!

Truth be told, even Jose was more subservient than that when he was organising our table settings. Like a military operation it was back then and he’d never dream of ’shushing’ the clientele or spitting in their food when they weren’t looking. We all know that, don’t we? Then again, even if he had, we would have soon told him to stop being such a wind-up merchant and to just get on with serving the public properly, because everybody knows it‘s high moral principle that matters in the best kitchens. Heavens above, we’d say, it’s these diners that pay your wages, they deserve respect and they’re fair-minded individuals turning up for one thing and one thing only. Good food, properly served without rancour. Actually, that’s three things, but that’s not important. Then again, maybe it is.

For let’s be honest here, it is earth-shatteringly important if food is to be served up by this FSW. Of course it is, we can all see that and we can all understand the reasons. Hell’s fire, this one even continues to live near that awful gaff he once managed!! Says it all really - once a person who lives near a horrible gaff, always a person who lives near a horrible gaff, that’s what I always say. Always. Often more than once. And when I do, I then look to see if anybody else agrees with me and, if they do, I’ll press their ’like’ button, because I like nothing better than to press the ’like’ button when it registers ’dislike’ for any FSW, especially this FSW when he turns up at my table uninvited.

Don’t get me wrong, I don‘t expect sympathy [you pressing the ’like’ button is usually enough for me anyway] but, would you believe it, I haven’t really enjoyed a meal in weeks. Went out and stuffed myself away at Leeds - didn’t like it, though. Forced myself, I did, then brought it all back up again with a load of bile just before that Villa game at my favourite eatery. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I only ended up stuffing myself again and needed to make room. Oh well, such is life through the prim and proper prism of modern cooking for me these days. I suppose you can sum it all up in one simple culinary phrase - can’t get the service anymore - and that applies even when I go up market to Delia’s at Norwich. Yep, there is the FSW again, dishing out the orders. Nouvelle cuisine this time. Nowhere near enough goals to keep a grown man happy, especially when I know darn well Robbie would have piled my plate high and it would have been tongue-tinglingly tasty..

Still, at least I’m used to the incessant regurgitation by now and a steady improvement in restaurant quality did mean that Moyes was on the Premiership menu next. I’ve always liked a bit of Moyes. He’s trim, longer term, with lingering taste, you see. A measure of continuity that you can get your teeth into, with silverware always being optional at a Chez Kenwright establishment that has treated its regulars to unrivalled excellence for nigh on nine months. Surely, at long last, this homecoming for the surly FSW would see my appetite for bulimia-avoidance satisfied. But no, not a hope of it, not even an early hiccup could stop the silver-chasing service returning to normal. It is going to be resumed again on Wednesday, when that rabble from Loftus Road arrive for a spot of air pie and a mashing.

Bon Appetit ‘Arry!

Yes because we as a club aren't the least bit lucky to have a two time Uefa coach of the year, a two time La Liga winner with Valencia, a Uefa Cup winner, FA Cup winner and a Champions League winner, to rescue something from this season.

The man has been a God send.
