  1. 1. Rafa Out?

Recommended Posts

Sorry Mate but I really am not going to waste my energy on the drivel you spieling above, you need to go and do your research properly on the man, you do need understand football, mourinho, guardiola, van gaal, capello, ferguson , have been at the richest and biggest clubs on this planet, and therefore, Money= better players=trophies=success. and rafa has quite a few without not being employed with the financial powerhouses of the game !

but just to pick up on 1 candidate ( Hiddink.) he has won nothing at club level outside Holland prior to Chelsea, but it does not mean he is not a good coach he is.

the coach you have right now is in that elite company that you have listed above, and by the way , do you know the formation 4-2-3-1 , that 70% of teams use nowadays, ? well your interim was the first to use it and develop it at Valencia and introduce it to the EPL ! go and ask anybody in the game or do your research !

You cannot be helped ,my friend, you are to ingrained with media talk, and your own agenda.

Rafa the defensive coach ? it took him 4 league games to equal the biggest win in your history, against an inform team in Villa ? the last time you did that was against Wigan in party atmosphere after clinching the league title under ancelloti COMPETING against UTD without ronaldo, who by the way won the title with 4 more defeats and less points than when benitez finished runner up the season before against the best man utd team in fergusons reign in ronaldo's last and best season !

Your agenda and nonsense is just to much mate, look at the result yesterday, your oponents, and when was the last time you won there, and how many times you have won there in the last 10 yearsm and then compare it to yesterday with a goal down within 60 seconds ! you will get your answer

Lets just agree to disagree, you have your take on tubby I have mine, i wont change your opinion of him and you wont change mine.

Rafa = unloved, abused, ridiculed but somehow he made Chelsea a winning team again.

Currently, Chelsea are winning games.

What do you give to a manager who has suddenly conjured wins from a team that was going nowhere ?

A center-forward, a midfielder...?

The team has courage under fire, tenacity & desire to win games again.

Chelsea look like a team that started to believe in itself again.

Personally, I am satisfied with Rafa´s job, so far.

Bollocks, he has been in the wilderness since inter sacked him and no club would touch him with a barge pole, he needed this job more than we needed him, I believe the sole reason that roman chopped RDM to bring tubby in is in a vain last effort to get that nancy torres firing and to look like at least worth half what we paid him, TFSW has been drip feeding to the press since he was sacked about how he can get torres scoring romans bought into that hence why he is here, if torres wasnt here nor would he its as simple as that, and he would still be twiddling his thumbs waiting for the right opportunity to come along facht.

You are ignorant. In the first place he was not sacked by Inter. He won the World Cup with them and immediately called a press conference in which he announced that if Inter would not fulfill the promise they had made to him when he took the job to let him buy players then they should negotiate his release. That was done. Since then he has had many offers (including Chelsea last year - and he refused their terms). Second, show me one of the quotes you say he was feeding to the press about reviving Torres. He has never said that. You just make it up as you go along. Your ignorance is no excuse for your prejudice.

Can you prove that with either an article or quotes?

Yes I could but why don't you just Google it?. It is all over the internet. Anyone who is slightly knowledgeable about Rafa or Inter at the time knows the three options Rafa laid out to Inter in that press conference. I don't expect Chelsea supporters to know about it but I also don't expect them to make up rubbish either to justify their prejudice. As I said earlier a lot of the misinformation about Rafa comes from Mourinho and its a shame that some thick-headed supporters still dance to Mourinho's tune.

Just which club do you support Rupert?

I still am not sure why people are so close-minded in terms of Rafa coming. Yeah, he said a few things about our club when he was managing a rival club, so what? He had a rough start with the first few games and the CWC fiasco (which is to be expected, considering the form we were in to begin with and the lack of time he had), but as you can see, we are starting to play much better than we have been with some great results in the past couple weeks. It's ridiculous how in spite of this, people still hold a grudge against him.

@rafafan, What reception is he likely to get on April 20th at Anfield? I assume a roaring one?

If he does what Houllier did and touches the 'this is Anfield badge' then his relationship with Chelsea fans will be broken beyond repair.

I like to see the posts talking about the possibility that Rafa might be hired long-term. However, they overlook one thing. It will be for Rafa and Abromovich to decide - not just Abromavich. Rafa turned down Chelsea's offer of a temporary contract when AVB was sacked. This time he accepted an 18 month contract with an opt-out for both parties after the end of this season. Rafa wanted that. He has other irons in the fire. He has been approached by Real Madrid several times in the past and this year that interest has been revived. He has bee approached by two other Spanish clubs, a leading German club, a leading Italian club, two national teams and some far eastern clubs. There is also the outside chance that Man City, Arsenal and LFC will be vacant come the summer. He has consistently said he prefers to work in the PL because he likes the football culture and because he wants to give his two daughters and his wife stability. (His wife's charity was voted charity of the year on the Wirral last week). The Chelsea job gives him a platform to demonstrate his qualities and win trophies. If it ends in the summer nobody will be able to say he was sacked because officially it is an interim appointment. If Ab does offer an extended contract Rafa will be in a position to bargain the terms. In the meantime he is free to negotiate a contract with other clubs without being accused of disloyalty. Not a bad position for him.

I've read most of your posts, and you are looking more of a benitez fan than a club fan, we can all support him, but you shouldnt be so concerned for him like you are related or obsessed....

I have no problem with fans of other teams being on our board as long as they are respectful and know their place. I'm getting a little fed up with seeing Liverpool fans blabbing on about Rafa. He's our manager now and we can like him or dislike him on our own.

Cant find an article that has a qoute from the bloke him self but the amount of people who were using get torres scoring as a reason for him to get the job epecially from that mug ballegue is enough to make me think his agent may have put the word out amongst the press, might be wrong to accuse him directly of saying that but wouldnt suprise me to find out his agent had a word with the press about it.

Anyway I'm bored of talking about tubby with liverpool supporters you'd stick up for him if he took a shit on the queens doorstep he is so idolised round your parts.
