Realised today that the best thing might be to pretend to be grown up about this and support the Chelsea no matter what. Although I am still fuckin angry about RDMs sacking. He said afterwards that he still has an unreserved love for the club. Not that anyone in the board would care, but I do. Of course I want Chelsea to win trophies and dominate games against the big teams and struggle but still win against the small ones, but I also want to be proud of the club like I was proud in Munich when we played quasi the worst game we´ve had and still hung in there and did our own way, the way we knew we could win with. These last three days just torn my sentiment towards Chelsea into two directions. On the one hand Robbie maybe wasn´t tactical as astude and maybe he wasn´t the one that was wanted initially but he was someone who loved to be here, just like Carlo, just like José, just like Claudio. I want to be proud of Chelsea, and it kills me when there is bad press and we are the laughing stock of the world of football and be seen as cruel and heartless bastards.

On the other hand I know that for the sake of the season and the club it was maybe a wrong decision to give Robbie the job, so I know all that. It just felt good to have a club legend managing our team. I couldn´t watch the match today cause of work, but i got to read the mbm and the comments on here and I still feel the buzz but I have to say that seeing Rafa on the touchline is too weird.

On the one hand any other club below us would probably be chuffed to have him (he is a good manager, slightley paranoid and mental, but good) is good, but he is just in an unlucky position to be in. No one wanted him here, now he´s got the gig, we are the unasked and still coming audience who has to accept it. On the other hand I want Robbie to be there.

KTF.

KTBFFH.

Up the Chels.

Sorry, not one for the emotional ones, but it still feels so fucking weird.

We have a right of protest and he deserved every bit of abuse he got. What did he expect when he took on the job? And for some of our fans to feel "sorry" for him?, really? How fucking sad and feeble is that? True fans voiced their opinion today and it was the majority, not a minority.

You'll have to count me as part of the 'minority' who wanted to support the players on the pitch and the work Robbie did, instead of abusing the guy who (like it or not) is in charge of the team now.

The guy who has to go in to work tomorrow and try and make a team out of guys who almost certainly heard some of the abuse he got.

I understand emotions were running high, but hopefully the fans who did abuse him got it out of their system and can maybe get back to supporting the players on the pitch in the next home game.

Roman got the message - he actually already knew and still did it because he figured it would be best for the club going forward. He also probably expected the booing and the banners (poor arts and craft skills from the fans who wanted to protest Rafa - apparently the only thing they hated more than Benitez was Art Attack).

There are so many fans in here that are a disgrace to the soul of our club. They're like leaves on the wind. Don't abuse the guy because he's our manager now. Would you back a guy who disrespected your family on many occasions? Only because he was your boss? He must've been right with the "Chelsea fans lack passion" because I can't imagine Anfield cheering for somebody like SAF or Mourinho who constantly abused them.

Di Matteo we loved and trusted. Rafa we'll never trust! One Di Matteo!

He said he won't take other job in England because there's only one team he supports and after being jobless for 2 years he jumps in the first opportunity he gets. He's shit and won't change anything, especially in 6 months.

Too right, the amount of shallow, plastic fans we have nowadays is just not on. Why should we meekly accept the Fat Controller?? can't believe some of the spineless posts on here. Some if you lot need to go shopping and buy yourself a back bone

Why do people still mistake suporting the team with backing the manager?

We should not be doing any action that may hurt the team. We dont need to chant Benitez name and we still want him out but we dont need to boo him...

It was definitely a strange decision to appoint Rafa as manager considering our common history but he now has the chance to at least neutralize his reputation: it will not be the same as with Robbie, but i think Rafa has never been the guy who gets that familiar with players. But for the club we should at least let him do his job until he actually puts a foot wrong.

The treatment of Rafa today was a complete disgrace. I don't care if you didn't want him, neither did I. He is now the manager of Chelsea Football Club and any Chelsea fan should give complete support or at least a chance. Way to go the fans at Stamford Bridge, just about turning our home into a hostile ground.

Disgrace, but proud of the team for playing through it against the league champions.

Reminds me when some of the fans booed Bridge after the JT incident when he did nothing wrong. I'm guessing these fans just needed to vent out their frustration and used Rafa as their scapegoat.

How did he deserve the abuse? Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think Rafa was the one who canned RDM. The job was open and he took it, who can blame him.

Enough said

"I can understand the rivalry in the past (between Chelseaspacer.gif and Liverpool), but I am sure the majority of fans will understand I am a professional and I just want to do my job." (Rafa should've meant minority)

For gods sake those comments were made when he was the LIVERPOOL manager. He saw us as a major threat and tried to talk trash and get in our heads. Liverpool aren't even relevant anymore and RB is the Chelsea manager now. Move on.

Well I am of the opinion don't say things that you don't mean. Maybe he should have made an apology to the fans. I never heard one from rafadyce. Besides it was only the passionless CFC fans making their feelings known to rafa. He should appreciate them :D
