  1. 1. Rafa Out?

Recommended Posts

A positive, we have an extremely busy schedule coming up and if rafa knows how to do one thing it is ROTATE.

As I mentioned earlier, I am positive the reason RDM didn't rotate that much this season is that he knew he had pressure to win every game. Last season, when RDM had no pressure, he rotated heavily. The key to proper rotations are depth and a manager who knows that his job is safe. Chelsea had neither under RDM.

It wasn't a dig at RDM, just an observation from his time at Liverpool.

Why all the hate towards Roman?

I mean, he has that fucking czar gene inside him but that is about it. He does a lot of good things for the club and all he does is being authoritarian.

Transfers: He does interfere in transfers issues, but he is more flexible than Levy and Perez, he listens and talks a lot with his managers.

Academy: It was sloppy at the begining and he did got involved more than the normal but now he is leaving it to the right staff.

Facilities/Marketing: He has put the right personel and (I guess) no one questions his immense help in this department.

Passion: Ask how any Loserpool or Manure fans feels about it.

Managers: I think he started greatly and after sacking Mourinho it went downhill. All his sacks until Carlo payed out, you can argue he only had to sack them because he made terrible choices (and I agree) though. When Carlo came, he was supposed to be Mourinho 2. He was supposed to be our long term manager and drive the renovation, it did not work. It was a clear rift between them and, of course, he used his power to axe Ancelotti. This was his worse mistake as our owner (imo). In 2011, he saw the need for renovation and trusted the young and promissing AVB to do so. At one point he had to choose between the manager and the dressing room. He, once more, made the right choice and we all know what happened. 2012, this gets tricky. We dont know how RDM and Abramovich made the contract. I am not saying he did right to fire Di Matteo, but we cant judge. If Roman told he was going to sign RDM but he would have to constantly prove himself. Roberto would know a bad sequence would cost his job. If, a big if, those were really the terms, there was no bad treatment. It is still a very wrong decision, but not disrespectful.

Managers 2: Rafael Benitez is a fucking fat spanish waiter. He is the best possible choice right now, though. We will have to wait to judge him and our Russian Czar.

Managers 3: Overall I think it was not as bad or as disgraceful as a lot of fans think. It was certainly not great, but it was successful. We need to get some stability and I think we will...

In resume, he has been better than worse. He is the owner any team could wish for so suck it up and move on.

Of course it's Cech call. Cech is a world class keeper and has his own way of doing things. He feels comfortable with his own coach who he has worked with for nearly 10 years. Why should some guy on a 6 month contract come here and tell him who is going to coach him?

I don't know, but it seems a bit trivial of an issue. Didn't something very similar happen last year though? I think Villas-Boas tried to change the goal-keeping coach as well and was denied by the club. Or maybe it was Rafa at Liverpool.. There was something LOL

Maybe Benitez should hire new chefs as well then. He looks like he knows his stuff in that department. Hope Benitez does something about Chelsea TV too, I hate that Gigi woman.

I read somewhere that Benitez is setting up base in London but his wife won't be joining him in London, which will allow him to focus purely on managing Chelsea for the rest of the season...wow!

I said it earlier, whether we agree or not with sacking Robbie, it's done now and we are extremely fortunate that we have enticed a manager with excellent experience and pedigree to come and manage us in such circumstances (short term). If he wins trophies and that puts himself in the shop window for other top jobs then good luck to him because I want to see Chelsea win trophies. He strikes me as someone who will give his absolute maximum to try and make this work and I wish him all the best.

Edit: Quote from BBC website -

The Spaniard will make his base in London while his family remain in Wirral, with the workaholic boss saying: "It means I can work more."

Ok, lets give the man a chance. He will try hard for us to play best and afterall, you dont find such 'classy' manager in so short time. Guardiola was never an option now, maybe he will never come (cuz he could face axe from Roman too and lose reputation).

We should see more formations, taking easy games with all seriousness (based on Rafa's experience). As spanish manager, he will probably understand with Mata and Torres (and Azpi) very good and take max of all our young talents.

What will change is our game style. Defence will be much stronger and we should win more games, but there will probably be no fancy football or short passing like Tiki-taka. I guess we will play on either possesion with quick play or counter attacks. He will probably pick strong team, so maybe we wont see Oscar, Mata and Hazard play together anymore...Moses will play more and possiby Romeu.

Wait couple of months till february (when he will be able to buy what he (we) needs) and then judge him.

Good luck!

Cech's coach has been one of the steadiest people at the club. I think the news about Benitez bringing in a goalkeeping coach is a bit of mischief making from the press to be honest.

I don't recall there being anything about AVB bringing in a goalkeeping coach.

How often do head coaches/managers really work with goalkeepers anyway? They mostly train away from the rest of the group.

Yeah fair point actually, he's been here through all the coaches, not sure if he was pre-Mourinho or not though. And you're probably right about that, they'll probably link all of Rafa's ex-backroom staff and find any conflicts lol

Man I hope Sunday will show us some kind of faith in Rafa's abilities, I first wonder about his line of formation.. This is the man who was notorious for 4-4-2. Return of the diamond perhaps..?

He's the Chelsea manager now. It's going to be that way for the next 6 months in all likelihood. Maybe you should take your dignity and go on a sabbatical for a few months like Guardiola did.

The guy said some things to give his own fans a hard-on and they've come back to bite him on the arse. You might have been offended by them but we've got to support him now because he's running our club.

I do not have to do anything at all. I am a Chelsea Football Club supporter, not Torres FC supporter nor Roman Abramovic FC supporter; also I dont see a fucking point about the reason why he said it; he said it and that's what matters he do not deserve our support. Period.

dignity? lmao get over it mate. At the end of the day, Liverpool was cutting his checks and now it's Chelsea. His comments added to the rivalry and I have no problem with it. If he said this yesterday after getting the job then I see your point.

I am sorry but football should not be about checks and money. It's a game played for fans so I can't support man who despise us and I do not fucking care at all when he said it; he said it and that's what matters. End of story

EDIT: And If dignity is something you laugh at I am terribly sorry for you.
