Just...why...

I posted in the other thread but there are three things about him that I think are pertinent.

1. He played at Chelsea. He's familiar with the club, a few players and a few staff. That helps Benitez.

2. He played under Benitez.

3. He also played with a certain out of work manager at Barcelona in the late-90s.

Might sound simplistic but I'm not sure our board are capable of much more.

Benitez takes over the club and all the focus is on the flop blondie Torres once again. Don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

It seriously drives me crazy! Torres this, Torres that. Give it a rest, he's done.

He's been out of a job for 2 years, when a top club like Chelsea comes calling he would be stupid to turn it down really.

This is a chance for him to prove he's still a good manager, and also do it with a good squad - as long as they don't pathetically stop playing for him.

And you are right we faced a tough schedule, but RDM would probably still have a job if he got those winnable games (WBA, Swansea and Liverpool) in addition to the win against Shakhtar.

It's called poor form, every team goes through it. Chelsea even has a annual November slump. We went on a 7 game winning streak before that I think. It is simply ridiculous but it's the way it is.

Yes we are all furious at the way how RDM has been treated and yes we don't like Benitez at a certain level, however damage has been made, just grow a pair and deal with it unless you've got a fucking time machine.

Just accept the fact that that fat Spanish waiter IS our manager now, like it or hate it please just keep it to yourself and support the team regardless. All the negative banters and chants won't make Benitez quits the job immediately, how about just keep quite and let the man to prove himself at our freaking dugout!

Going past the emotional part, my biggest concern with Rafa is that he is tactically inflexible and stubborn. At Inter the players did not fit his system, and he didn't attempt to play to his players strength. He wanted to make drastic changes to the squad and bring players that suit his system, and Moratti was not interested in that.

I am afraid he might have the same problem, we have a talented squad no doubt. But the players we have don't necessarily fit into what he did at Valencia and Liverpool. He must show adaptability and try to get the best out of our players and create a system friendly to the players. If he tries to force the players into his tactics and system then i feel Rafa as an intern manager could be a disaster.

RDM had the same problem imo, he didn't know how to utilize the players we brought over the summer. He didn't attempt to change his 4-2-3-1 formation and which was why he kept on reversing back to playing a defensive winger.

Ok here's a situation...

Being a nice guy, respected etc does not keep you in a job if your boss thinks you are not up to the task.

Happens to millions of people every day and is what happened here.

As you don't have a crystal ball, like me, you have no idea what the future holds.

So you have 2 choices:

1) support CFC as an entity and move on and get behind the team

2) stop supporting CFC

It really is that simple....
