Although I fully support RDM, I have to say that he is digging a hole with this Torres joke, and once he falls in it, there is no coming back...

He has to change some things in squad immediately. By some things, I mostly think of Torres.

I expect Danny up front vs Juventus.

If Torres starts again, then I will start to worry about RDM and his future here.

I'm still behind RdM and feel he should stay till the end of the season!

But his fate will be decided during in the next 15 matches, if he continues to persist with Luiz and Torres, doesn't find a way to improve our defense and we end up dropping off and getting into a scrap for 4th place; fail to qualify out of our CL Group it will simply mean that this transitional season is all he is going to get. The next Month and a Half is key - if we continue playing like this I will NOT be surprised if he is sacked by new year.

If we end up 3rd in the CL Group and loose some more points - even my support will waiver.

I personally don't think Pep is the guy to take us forward - I'm not 100% certain whether what he did in Barca will translate to our club very well. But if he is the option Roman is looking at - he is by far one of the best CVs in the business, it's just his mentality which worries me. He had mental fatigue while being coach of his child hood club - imagine the fallout if he doesn't start well at Chelsea and the type of pressure he will be under.

In an interview after the West Brom game, apparently he said something along the lines of - "I'll need to consider changes and other tactics."

...

WHAT!? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT BEFORE, AFTER AND DURING EVERY GAME. THIS ISN'T THE SUNDAY LEAGUE!

This just backs up the notion that he doesn't have a 'plan' at all I guess. He's decided who he wants to play, regardless of form or what happens in training, and yet he's still hailed as a 'great' manager by many on here.

He's a lovely guy, no doubt. But that doesn't cut it.

Yes, he won the Champions League.. but how? By choosing the first 11, and then honestly, it looks as simple as telling them: "Listen to Drogba. He'll tell you what to do. Play the sort of game you want to try and get the win."

It worked. But that doesn't make him some mastermind genius.

I find it really difficult to judge RDM when he doesn't have a world class striker...lots of times we play well, crosses are there, passes are there and shots are there, but goals are not...goalkeepers also tend to have storming matches against us...if Sturridge scored today when he went 1on1 I'm pretty sure we would have won. There were also a few chances against Liverpool where we could've simply won the game and also killed it of early but yet again, we failed to find the back of the net...

I won't blame Robbie for that because we know that he club wanted to bring another striker before this season. There were approaches for Higuain, Lewandowski, Cavani, Shurrle and Falcao, yet we didn't manage to bring anyone in probably due to the board refusing to let clubs pull our titties again which I applaud.

I'm really anxious to see what will happen in January and who will lead our front line in the 2nd half of the season.

And whoever decided to let both Meireles and Essien leave needs to be thrown into outer space! Leaves us short in options in the CM area and in circumstances like yesterday or some of the past matches(when Lampard is injured), we could have done with someone like Meireles. Otherwise, we either have to play Mikel-Ramires or Mikel-Romeu in the double pivot.

Like (out of likes)

I said before SURELY RDM has influence in this, which is why I think he is a little naive...

Yes, it's not good business to have players sitting around earning fortunes, but it's not good business not being in the top 3 - thank god Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle are shit - but that won't last forever...

Hope we can get the players lifted and ready for Juve match.

What makes you say that when most people are think that he doesn't have much say in the transfers coming in?

Because he's the manager... He must deliver a strategy for the club on players, acquisitions and loans.

I cannot see that he was never consulted, that just seems unbelievable!

I think it's being used as a smokescreen to deflect any negativity towards him.

He's also been talking about Falcao, so if we get him is that RDM or the Board?

Hopfully RDM.He's the manager and should be the one making the decisons and suggestions on who we need etc.Choices from elsewhere espically high profile ones like Torres and Sheva dont work!Jose never seemed keen on Sheva but yet seemed to have to play due to the price tag and then came the falling out when he seemed keen to bench him.Torres again,50m cant exactly leave him on the bench and no doubt Carlo always felt the need to play him

I would like our manager to get involved and ultimately decide who we should get and don't but our past history have shown that managers don't always have a final say on the transfers. RDM might have been consulted regarding those 2 transfers but it could have been ultimately decided by someone else for him.

We have had more stability than Arsenal.

How many captains have they had since we appointed John Terry back in 2004?

We have had (and stil do have) a dedicated and ambitious owner and have for the last decade, do Arsenal fans know who their owner's are?

Stability does not begin and end in the manager dugout. Maybe it can be irritating constant manager changes, but lets be honest all of those sackings apart from Mourinho have turned out to be the right thing for this club.

Yes, stability is also needed with the back room staffs and we've got that, but look at Manchester United and how much success they have reaped from Sir Alex.

We need that too!!

This is from an old Daily Mail article...

I refused to pay any heed to this at the beginning of this season, but I did keep the image..c'mon Robbie prove them wrong...

Omen my arse! When you constantly win trophies and sack managers that can happen :D

Sir Alex is a one off, we are not going to see another version for a very long time.

I am actually glad Roman doesn't have this stability obsession a lot of fans (including me before i saw the light) has, last thing i want us to do is give some clown a 8 year contract.

If the right long term man comes along then fine (could be Robbie, if so great), but until then i have no problem with Roman's methods.

We had the right long term and with Jose.He knew what he was doing, how to make changes and how to make an impact. And had respect from the players. Then he got sacked for whatever reason and and very little luck since really

Its crazy!Since Jose left including RDM,6 different managers.3 of which lasted half a season...4 if counting Hiddick. And one managed a whole two years....i

What's this shit? I don't want him here. The thing is, he worked with a team like 'Barca', as in the all time cheaters who gets away with every fouls and has somewhat creative players. I won't say 'Pep did nothing..and.. it's the players who deserves the credit.' But if I was to sum things up, Barca is still going strong without him. Bringing him as the manager will hardly show any difference. I don't think much of our shaky defense will change.

It's Matty who saved us from drowning. It'll be a 'fucking disgrace' if Abramovic sacks him. It'll truly be a shame.

What ROMAN's method are you talking about?? He like most of us is waiting for the right man to come along! Why would you think he wants to change managers all the time ?? That doesn't make sense at all. And if Mou would've changed his style of play according to the board, he would've been here till now.
