This is a realistic expectation. Anyone expecting us to win the league is quite naive.

I don't think its about the league, its just we dropped points when we shouldn't. If we get to march and we are right there then great but these are games we should be winning.

We are 3 points behind top, if people considered us in the title race before the match then surely we are still in the title race.

If we can get to christmas being close to top then bring in any striker who is a proven finisher, then we have a chance. As i said earlier that is the only area we are lacking in comparison to united and city.

I'm not expecting, but I think we have to keep up with the Mancs as long as we can. Don't want to see us gifting points like we did against Swansea. Today we should've scored 4, it just wasn't meant to be.

Yes, that's all I'm asking for too, as long as we keep up well with the Manchester teams I'd say we've been successful in the league, but they're both a lot more mature than our team. Our sides in transition, so we are going to have results like these.

Of course the striker is not alone in terms of scoring goals, but seriously... Take a look at our team, and tell me that Torres is the only one working for goals. We have like 15 different goal scorers this season. No, Torres is not alone. But we simply CAN'T rely on a defender or midfielder saving our asses every god damn game, when it is in fact the striker that is supposed to be doing just that!

They dont have to save our asses every game, but when you have chances like Oscar or Mata if you misses them you can be sure you are not going to get better chances than this later in the game.

No its not that. If you had offered me 3rd 3 points off top at the start of the season after the pre-season we had i would have taken it... It is just the manor of how it happenned and Torres' seemingly untouchable nature. What do we have to lose trying someone else. Put moses up there or something. He can't exactly lose us anything in attack. Its also the fact we wait for them to equalize then decide we should change something. We could all see 50 mins in that torres needed to come off and we needed someone like moses to test them with pace but we wait til they score.

I'm not putting everyone in the same category...

I was also encouraged by our run of performances up till that Man Utd game, where I thought RDM, by luck or better judgement, had actually put together a title-winning side...Whilst I still won't write off our side as contenders, the last few performances haven't been very encouraging, and this result (annoying no doubt) typified that...this has a lot to do with the lack of goal threat from our strikers, and shows how woeful our depth is in that department...

WAY too much negativity here after a disappointing match!! I think getting off to such a strong start let some supporters get their expectations way out of whack. Top-4 was always a realistic goal for this season and still is, RDM made the right substitutions, not really much else he could do. Our problems are the same problems we've been having all season-inability to create chances. We are actually, I believe, one of the best teams at putting away our opportunities once we get them, we just aren't creating enough chances. We also are in between styles. We're not really a counter-attacking team and we're not really a possession team.

Out of our attacking three midfielders today, only Hazard played well. Our pivot was OK, but that's the best it ever really is. It's hard to play fluidly when your central midfield can't create. Our defence played well generally. Not sure why people are getting on Torres after this game. Is he supposed to get the ball at midfield and go past 4 defenders and score? Yes, he's been generally bad for us in the almost two years he's been with Chelsea, but not every instance of dropped points is down to Torres.

But then Man U arent exactly playing amazing.Okay they won yesterday but still went 2-0 down.So far their defence is shite! No one looks amazing at the moment

Yeah exactly. We bettered man u for a lot of the game before what happenned happenned. City have been awful in defence, as have united. We are still in this race as far as i am concerned. We need to find a striker fast but its not like we are arsenal who are 9 points behind us.

Ehm? That's not even the issues we are stressing. Yes, Oscar and Mata missed a couple of sitters, and should have scored. We agree on that, no? That still doesn't change the fact that we need a reliable striker like Van Persie, Hernandez or Dzeko that can change games from nothing even though the team might be under performing. How can you not agree on that?
