Beepu 1,714
Oh boy, seems like racism will never leave us alone.A picture of a Chelsea supporter has circulated, the picture shows that the supporter was making a 'monkey' gesture towards Danny Welbeck during the Capital One Cup game. Here is the picture:http://www.dailymail...ny-Welbeck.htmlEither he think Welbeck looks like a monkey or he really wants the hulk at the bridge and incapable of doing the hulk's gesture properly....Chelsea are investigating this incident, and hopefully the proper action will be taken.I just couldn't believe it when I saw it. How can any Chelsea fan in their right mind would do this after what happened with Terry and Clattenburg. No, how could any human being make this kind of offensive gestures to a fellow human being?I myself am not new to racism, being called racist asian terms when i moved to New Zealand(not that NZ is a racist country, just some dumb school kids) to a point that it doesn't bother me.I am glad that this is taken seriously and it is about time. Racism is not new, it was just never taken this seriously before.Lets hope that this anal bead gets a lifetime ban from Stamford Bridge and hopefully racism can slowly be reduced not only from the club or football, but society. Kez 2,727
Club needs to make an example of this cunt. Our club is being dragged through the gutter. So fucking thick when we have players like Mikel, Moses & Sturridge on the pitch, he's insulting them as well. Beepu 1,714
http://www.dailymail...in-Kirkham.htmlGAVIN KIRKHAM is his name@, We like to think ourselves as a non racist country, but outside of Wellington and Auckland (I lived in Auckland for 10 or so years, now live in Christchurch, big white supremacist following), migrants will find it VERY hard to fit in.Not racist, but more xenophobic.Wow that was fast! Great to have gotten a name!Yeah Wellington aint that bad really, just school kids are very stupid sometimes. Auckland has alot migrants too, when i went there I saw alot of Asians and middle eastern people.I think people in smaller cities where there are less migrants would be xenophobic because they are just not used to seeing different people, but in bigger cities it could be that they just simply dont like people of different race. But New Zealand is a great country to live in for sure, I feel very safe here. In Indonesia(where I lived before) being a Chinese descent can result in alot of prejudice, sometimes harm.
manpe 10,861
I'm just wondering, should Terry, Lampard, Mata or whoever be offended when somebody makes monkey gestures towards Bale?
BlueLyon 9,359
People 'invented' racism. With all those campaigns to stop racism are only making it bigger. People thinking is wrong. If I say to my best friend who is black, that he is monkey just for fun, people around who dont know the joke will say Im racist. If i say monkey to a white friend, no one gives a shit.If we are all the same, why people respond to a white man differently than to a black? Because he is black or what? And that is already a racism, but we are not aware of it...I mean, we are all equal, so why this thinking and separating black people and white people...If we hadnt created racism, saying monkey to a black man would be same as saying it to white man. The point is not to say it, but what do you think of that men, why did you said that.Anyway what pisses me is that some fuckheads are intentionaly hurting black people just because they are black. And when some idiot like that guy Galvin shows racism, whole club as institutuon loses some reputation because of that.
YankinBlue42 72
I can't believe there is another racism row. I almost think that we're making too big a deal of an idiot who did something stupid. Rule #1 when dealing with idiots, ignore them and they'll go away. BlueLion. 21,491
Embarrassed to say I support this club, at times. We just cannot stop ourselves from feeding ammunition to the haters. People like these deserve life bans, but what they do in terms of damaging the club's credibility and PR work is double that. Shocking to see, especially in this day-and-age. Of course the recent race storms will only exacerbate this.

nonleaguefan 3
Hi allNot a Chelsea fan but thought you guys need to see this story given the current press headlines. I cannot find a single national media outlet running this story. The case is over so it can be freely reported/commented on so why are the press ignoring it?http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2123349_football_fan_banned_from_following_tottenham_hotspur_after_racist_abuse_to_stewardThis post isn't intended to be inflammatory so mods please remove if it causes an issue (I wont be posting again anyway but just wanted to make people aware really).I tried to post about it on the Sun website and Sky but both were removed. I don’t have twitter or facebook but I think it needs coverage. I'm no fan of the British media at the best of times but this is selective reporting at it's best.It seems very unfair to me that nobody is running the story particularly as it took place during a major game at our national stadium! Ollie 4,400
Crazy that this is happening so frequently. There are so many cameras, why do it, seriously. Fucking moron piece of shit putting our club down. The JT case, now Clattenburg and now this idiot fan. Getting a bit pissed off by it all now, i wish we'd just go back to the football. As someone who is old enough to remember when Stamford Bridge was a meeting ground for large, and un-contained, groups of racist organizations like the National Front I must say that the anti-racist initiatives have done a very good job at eliminating this behavior in large crowds.Sure we have the occasional idiots now, but it is so much better than it use to be. Ignoring the problem in hopes that it will simply disappear does not work.

Laylabelle 9,535
The papers are loving this!! Drama at Chelsea in a week...yes he's an idoit..yes he's bringing the club reputation down but its not the clubs fault! They seem to make out like its a issue that the club themselves have and have turned a blind eye to whereas its just some complete twat being a complete twat. They are doing all they can etc..be nice when we're not in the sodding spotlight
Hutcho 8,443
Yeah 1 fan and all of a sudden"All chelsea fans are racist." He really is a prick as well.Firstly its wrongSecondally he was technically insulting more of our players than theirs (Not the point but still pretty idiotic for a fan)Thirdly he is bringing more Bad media attention, at a time when we are currently already at the forefront of media attention.
