He was excellent for us in Europe, he's strong, pacy, young, somewhat proven in the EPL and homegrown. He's not a bad squad player to have. Better than wasting money on players with similar level of ability whose chances of turning into a definite success is just as low if not lower.

Our version of Torres was the best player in the Europa League that season. I wouldn't read too much into it.

But yeah I agree with him being in the squad just as long as we bring in a better player. He'll going to get exposed if he gets a decent amount of gametime & the atmosphere & mood of this thread will change before the turn of the new year.

Decent for the first five minutes and was awful for the rest of the time he was on the pitch.

But because he scored the equaliser, he got the Man of the Match award.

Our backup options are so average. We are so screwed if Hazard and/or Willian get/gets injured (*touch wood*).

Thats how I see it. The depth we have with AMs is truly awful.

Amazing how much people read into pre-season. Marin was apparently better than Hazard a few years ago.

He is good for a squad player. I'm against his place in the team, only if he takes Bertrand's one. But I'll be ok if we loan Traore in PL and have Moses/Cuadrado and Willian for RW.

One player who everyone had pretty much forgotten about vs the player who we just spunked nearly 30m on.

My money is on Moses which is both funny and sad at the same time.

I get the notion that preseason doesn't mean much at all, but who's over hyping him? No one is saying he's starting for us. Most are just saying that he'd be a solid squad player which isn't far from the truth.

Good squad player, never going to be good enough to start imo. Has similar deficiencies as Schurrle as he's not that great of a passer. He's a better dribbler than Schurrle though.

I don't see any of the bench options beating out Willian for the RW though, not even close. Willian may not score a lot but his all around play (passing, defending, etc.) is miles better. On par with Hazard, if not better.

He was quite an awfully frustrating player with us, he was good to have at that time because in the season (12/13) we had a 60 plus game season and our expectations were relatively low for our standards.

Now we are looking to win the lot and a player like Moses who has the football brain of a hyena will only serve to handicap us, even as a squad player, he's good for Stoke and Wigan but was average- ok for us first time round and utterly abysmal for Liverpool.

He is HG, and will be a useful backup, he will be subbed in on every 60+ minutes. No harm on our squad, so he is very well welcomed.

I think some of you are reading way too much into pre-season. No doubt he improved last season at Stoke but we can do much better. At the moment he's probably the same level as Willian is.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong & he explodes this season, after all, he was extremely highly rated back in his Palace days.

This an insult to not only Willian but Football in general. To make the statement that Moses is on the same level as Willian is as ridiculous as it gets.

Willian is a top player. I'm not exaggrating when I say he is not far from world class. He is far above the Willian at the start of 13/14 and 14/15, ability-wise and more importantly mentally. Willian has even got to the point where he is starting to take responsibility when we're attacking, like Hazard does. At many games in the second half of the season, he was the difference. We have very few players who have made it this far in their evolution.

Honestly, doesn't matter who the 4th am is because Remy and rambo will be utilized more.......
