Just a thought but I've seen his name crop up in a couple of places...

Alexandre Pato anyone?? He's young, huge upside, AC will have to sell now that Silvio's in the slammer, would be coming to a team chock-full of brazilians...

He has a bit of an injury history but maybe worth thinking about?

The poor bastard strains his thigh muscles nearly every few games. One of my favourite fowards but he is more injury prone than Robben and Ribery put together. And his injuries are becoming more common in the last two seasons.

I know it is the Bleacher Report but this is quite an interesting article on Pato's injuries.

Pato has always had injury issues, its part of the reason why United & Arsenal decided not to sign him, back in 2007 when he was the next big thing in Brazil.

we didnt even twitch for 29 year old 20m RVP ...

maybe buying lukaku was a mistake...we could have bought a quality striker ..hope fully we will learn lessons from buys of Torres and lukaku

I really think that is a VERY harsh judgemebt on Lukaku, who did not only get almost no playing time and therefor lost a lot of confidence he did display at Anderlecht (and also the national team), but foremost, the guy is fucking 19 !!!

Get a reality check, please.

Lukaku was bought in for £18m because of his potential. We should not even judge Lukaku this season on his fee because that is not his current value but what is potential represents is around there, possibly more. He has years to prove himself and so far has been impressive in his loan spell at WBA

27 this year.

One option we should look at is Lewandowski. Good in the air, links up play well and has a good finishing though he can still improve in that department. Has 2 years left in his Dortmund contract and is only 24 too.

Im not that sure about Lewan. He seems like unfinished diamond, but we would need someone with imediate impact. That means a world class striker for lot of money unfortunely. With Danny and Lukaku we have plenty for future. And Lewan is not coming cheap, 25mio at least.

I know, sometimes a less good striker like Lewan, Remy, Damiao, Bony, Pato,...would do even better than Top class one, but Drogba was 26 when he arrived and he was mentaly strong person to keep trying here, I fear if Lewan or Remy wouldnt start well, it would be too much pressure on them and another Torres case. Time to start looking for MENTALY strong striker aswell. Someone who does the job always.

Ibra was fucking great choice, too bad he is in Psg now. Falcao seems world beater and also what I like most, player who scores every time in big games. He scored in europa league finals twice, against Barca, Real,...something what Drogba was doing. But if he somehow gets in bad form, who knows how it will turn. Also if his stats for goals from crosses are right, we should think twice, as our team doesnt have enough good crossers. On other side Cavani is playing for team that plays similar to us, attacking football with passing attacks, not so many crosses.
