One is for sure, we can't depend on Torres and I'd be more than satisfied if we sold him or swapped him in January, even for the sake of getting the media off our backs with that "Torres flop" crap. We need a quality striker who can deliver right now and then. He would have to be world-class BUT someone who is relatively young and hasn't achieved much trophy-wise. Like Edison Cavani, Radamel Falcao, Robert Lewandowski, so they still have the ambition and flame in their eyes. I'm really happy Sturridge gets a chance now with Torres banned (for 1 match if I'm right, as it was 2x yellow red card, correct me please if I'm wrong! ) Lukaku will be brilliant for us, just scored one yesterday against Newcastle at their home stadium.

I may be the exception as everyone seems to love him, but i don't want to see ballotelli here. He is not bigger than a club and i personally find him incredibly annoying.

Lewandowski would be a good shout as he is quick can act as a bit of a targer man if needed and can finish... Though i would like to see danny sturridge up top and give him a chance before we get some big signing.

Benzema had a crap start to his Real Madrid career and hasn't exactly lit up the stage when playing for France.

He's quite a lazy player and is rumoured to have attitude problems. He's also quite static. It's no coincidence that he had the best season of his career the same season C.Ronaldo also had the same.

If he came here, he'd have the same problems as Torres really. Of course he'd probably finish more of the few chances he'd get in front of goal, but we simply must fix other areas of the team too.

If we sort out the other parts of the team, then I'm sure I could welcome him with open arms though.

Benzema has nothing to do with the kind of player we need right now.

What about leandro damiao?The guy is very clinical,has very good link up play,he is also kind of big and strong as well and he can create chances for himself plus he would be a good addition to our brazilian contingent as well.Thoughs?

Give Sturridge a chance until the winter transfer window, and based on his performances we can decide if we need a new striker.

Of course if we end up signing Neymar; Cavani or Falcao you won't hear me complaining.
