Chelsea chief Gourlay warns rivals spending spree isn't over yet!

Gourlay is still a wanker. Roman has played a larger part in negotiating the sponorships, particularly the one with Gazprom which was probably all his own work. Emenalo has signed the players.

Big Ron sits on his arse figuring out ways to cheat the CPO out of a fair say. He deserves 0 credit for everything the club has achieved in recent years.

Took the words right out of my mouth . Great minds think alike

I like it how we are not letting clubs pull our tits like before and when they start we slap them in the face and turn around.

Oscar signing was brilliant piece of work, I've never heard of the lad until we started getting linked and from what I've seen so far, he is probably the most talented creative midfielder in the world along with Wilshere.

I see 2-3 more arrivals at the club. A right back, a winger and a striker. Striker may happen but I doubt it since there are only Falcao, Cavani and Lewandowski to get and that's not easy. Moses and Hulk are definitely on radar. For the RB currently, Azpilicueta seems most likely, though perhaps we will return for Maicon if that falls through.

I will not say nice work from the board, don't wanna jinx them. Work harder you maggots!

Great quote from Big Ron

Manager Roberto Di Matteo has been charged with changing Chelsea’s style to a more attractive, attacking approach and Gourlay said the squad changes gave him the opportunity to “form his own team”. He added: “He’s very much creating his own side now. There’s some new guys there and he can craft them into the way he wants the team to play. That’s a nice position to be in because we’ve heard it all before about inheriting someone else’s team. This is a kind of a break and a good opportunity.”

Chelsea are in negotiations to sign Cavani for £32m, Moses for £7m and Azpilicueta for £8m. (Daily Express)

I've always stated how I don't think Cavani would fit in our system and that I'd prefer Falcao, but in all honesty, I really would cum myself if we signed Cavani.

He's an extremely hard worker on the pitch, a leader, and would just be scary to go up against.

Cavani is a superb player but i just think Napoli would take advantage of our need for a striker and they'll want upwards of 40 million which is crazy even in today's market.

If this is true, then the ambition the club are showing is outstanding. I pity the parallel universe where Chelsea didn't win the Champions League.

I still have no idea who Azpilicueta is but judging by you lot, he's good but i haven't posted in his thread because quite frankly, i don't know him from Adam. Seems we're gonna get 2 more signings, unbelievable really. I've never been so excited being a Chelsea fan. This actually eclipses 2003 for me even tho that's when Roman came. Pre season has been rather shite but the actual premiership season is gonna be so different from that.

A bit gutted tho that Oscar and Mata won't be available for the Community Shield. I'd love to see us give Man City a big shot up the arse and stuff them, sending out a big message to them and everyone else.

The choice of words bodes quite well - 'positions'. Gourlay is quite clearly inferring we have multiple targets lined up, not just in the sense of multiple positions, but also a quota of potential signings. The fact we've done the bulk of our transfer work early (Marin, Hazard, Oscar - even de Bruyne and Cahill can be included in this) suggests that we've learned our lesson in the transfer market. The positions Gourlay is hinting at are most likely RB and a forward position. We all know this probably means Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses, but I think we've still got another big signing in us this summer.

If this is true, then the ambition the club are showing is outstanding. I pity the parallel universe where Chelsea didn't win the Champions League.

What a frightening reality. Besides possibly Marin, who wanted to reinvent himself in a foreign league, would we have signed any of these players? Moses possibly as it is a step up from Wigan, but Oscar, Hazard, Cavani? Not a chance. We have so much to thank Drogba for.
