Has anyone realized that if we get Allegri, Oscar will probably remain with the club...?

Have YOU realized that no matter who our next manager is Oscar will probably remain at the club for at least another season?

More chances of him staying with Allegri around than with other manager.

Most of our players aren't exactly on the verge of leaving either but some of them will likely get sold.

Oscar is not a member of that 'some'. He's probably with Thibaut, Azpi, Willian and Iva as the most unlikely to be sold anytime soon.

True, but it's not like he's on the verge of leaving at the moment.

Oscar sounds like that kind of player that will stay in the club for years and years, while everybody keep saying how bad they are and that they must be sold next transfer window, like Kalou and Mikel.

I'm not so sure about that. If there's a decent offer from some European club for him, I don't think we'll hesitate to sell him because right now, Oscar falls under the 'Dead Wood' category.

Only in the minds of fans. There has not been any indication whatsoever from the manager or anyone at the club that they think Oscar is not good enough. We haven't even tried to sign anyone who can replace him since he's come here.

That may change, maybe as soon as next season, but unless he decides he wants to leave, he's not getting sold in the summer.

Well, you can practically apply that logic on almost everyone else. So, I guess they will all stay then.

How? That logic does not apply to Mikel who only just got back into the side, it doesn't apply to Matic who has been dropped many times this season, it doesn't apply to Cahill, it doesn't apply to Hazard who is a lot more likely to want to leave, it doesn't apply to Costa who is rumored to want to go back to Atletico, it doesn't apply to Remy who isn't getting any minutes, nor Falcao, nor Baba....etc.

Oscar falls in the 'Goldilocks' region of being a regular starter here while at the same time not attracting any major interest from clubs who can actually afford him.

Juventus...?

You said the clubs haven't tried to sign players to replace Oscar. Same could be said about those other players you mentioned.

And that was swatted right away by the club and by Oscar himself which only reinforces the idea that he's not going anywhere.

Btw, Juve CANNOT afford Oscar, unless they sell Pogba.

Sorry Jay, but how much you want a player to be sold does not correlate in any way to the reality of how close he is to actually leaving.

That was when Mourinho was still around. With the way things have gone this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he's changed his views.

Didn't Juve spend something like 100m euros on Dybala, Mandzukic, Sandro etc last summer?

Can't afford Oscar? Pffft! And it's not like Oscar is going to cost anything more than 35m (if we're pushing it).

What does this have to do with how much I want Oscar to leave? Only looking at the fact that he's been incredibly average and if our next manager has any competency about him, he'll be sold. And if the club have any ambition of getting back to the top, then the dead woods need to be removed.

Jay, I'm only telling you this because I care about you: Oscar isn't going anywhere and the sooner you get to terms with that the better for everyone...

He's fucking mince in the #10 role so there is no hope out wide, truly a tragic player. It's a shame that 3 goals against a very weak FA Cup opponent gives him about another 3-4 bonus matches were he is selected without a thought.
