He has been so quick to defend Oscar against PSG but he would not say say word on Willian for his performance. I don't think he has or ever will compliment Willian or accept that he was wrong about him. When Willian never used to be a stats wonder, he would be the first to go into his thread and criticize him, stating he is not good enough etc, Oscar was a better player etc but since he performs he just leaves it. Guilt all round

The day Oscar leaves the club could be great to watch. :D

Good thing for him that day won't come any soon.

He'll settle for a career here like Mikel and others before him. He's heavily featured, but isn't an absolutely titular. He won't push for more chances, he won't push for a transfer unless it's from a big team, in a big league - which ofc won't happen.

He'll stay here for a decade... write my words.

I've since long lost hope on him. I don't think he'll ever reach his potential, basically because he settles for mediocrity. the same reason he'll stay for as long as he has a contract.

People also seem to forgot that he actually likes Chelsea a lot. At least he says so.

No. What I was trying to say is that I think Oscar will want to stay here for a long time since he likes Chelsea so much :)
Wasn't saying anything about us being ok with it

Of course he would want to stay. We seem to be happy with mediocre players like him!

I, for one, am not happy with mediocre players. While I do think Oscar can, and should, do much better than he is, he just lacks the consistency to become a good/great players. If he will stay like this (inconsistent) then I want him gone.
I think Lampard joined us when he was 23 years old. Oscar is 24 years old, so he has time to turn the corner.

Consistency is a major issue for him but take that out for a second, what exactly is he even good at? He's not great at anything but decent at everything. He's basically a jack of all trades!

And a jack of all trades can be good to have... on the bench. What I think is more important than selling Oscar, is to get a nr. 10 better than him and demote him to the bench.

Think the Mikel comparison is valid. Oscar will continue to do just enough to be kept around but I doubt he'll ever do anything that makes him a crucial, must be in the first XI player.

Maybe if he has a great remainder of the season we can use him as some sort of bargaining piece for a better player. Possibly with Atleti if we can prize Simeone away.

His off the ball movement is good, he can be very difficult to play against. On his good days he offers goals, his shooting technique is quite good, imo.
He has to work on a lot of things, not denying it, but he is under contract and clearly wants to stay here, we could do worse than having him on the bench.
There are so many problems within the squad, i for one would leave Oscar alone, at least for now.
