mccg 1,528
Jose and alot of Cfc supporters thought and wished Oscar would have evolution of a season like Hazards the season before, alas it didn't happen,at 24 lets hope he can improve like Willian,if not he's too expensive to still be a squad player,we need a new starter of world class proportions to consistently add and improve the team. Styles 9,790
Just watched the England game and Dele Alli really surprised me. I'll admit I don't watch many Tottenham games because, well, they're Spurs. But the technique, general ability and even his pressing was there. T He is 7532585329585684x the player Oscar is and he's 5 years younger. chelseafan26

It's quite astonishing when you think about it for a moment - the amount of money being paid to the likes of Mourinho and Emenalo who are supposed to be football experts, yet they continued with the likes of Oscar who is absolute dog shit 80% of the time. I'm not Cesc's biggest fan, but at least we get a decent half-season of form out of him. Oscar? We're lucky with one good game a month. chelseafan26, Styles, lucio and 2 others

Any success there would have been belittled before another loan move to a Premier League relegation candidate the following season. chelseafan26 and The Mak

Popular Post! The Mak 4,459 Posted March 26, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted March 26, 2016 Haha, come to think of it, remember the arguments around Oscar Vs. Mata? One of the main one's against Mata was that we 'ONLY FINISHED 3RD WITH THE TEAM BUILT AROUND MATA'. Where will we finish now eh?!   The Skipper, positivefootball, Sovieticus and 2 others

Talksport has made the interesting point about the young England starters today: many of them were not part of the U-21 club system.  I have to ask: what do Southampton usually do with their developing players? Had Dele Ali joined us in the summer he'd have been playing because he is clearly better than the options we have. You forget that Jose frequently dropped Oscar and tried alternatives. The alternatives never worked however and Jose would eventually go back to Emboaba. He was searching for a player we didn't have. It was only this season that Willian finally took his chance and did enough, until recently anyway, to hold the place. There is no doubt in my mind that Ali would have grabbed that chance and made himself first choice.

Wonder how did he figure out that Oscar should be kept at the expense of Kevin De Bruyne when there's clearly a big difference between the two of them. And you don't have to be a pro to see that. About Oscar... it's sad to see how he hasn't fulfilled his potential. He used to be good, now he's the Mikel of attacking midfielders. 100% sell.
