Duppy Conqueror 1,537
First of all its the people.Second of all its another way of saying he's not for sale. No-one is going to offer 20m for Studge and CFC know that so this their way of saying we want to keep him. But the most important part of this post is the first sentence.i agree with everything apart from the part where you state no-one is gonna offer 20m for Sturridge. i believe there are several teams that would. but hopefully i am never proved correct on that. LDN Blue 7,903
We shouldn't put it past Newcastle to bid for Sturridge. They do have that £35million kitty from the Carroll sale.
_Lukaku_ 13
The reason we put the 20m price tag on him is because we don't think anyone is going to pay that for him. If someone does off 20m then we'll probably still keep him. Its to put teams off buying him. Simples.
kwylino 329
At least good to see that Were not doing a jack cork with sturridge he must play he proved himself well at bolton and he should prove himself well with us. i do not reckon a club would want to pay us 20 million for sturridge. And thank god for him we got him out of city I dont reckon he would have had much of a future there
Peace. 4,352
No-one would want to sign Sturridge for £20m ??!!!!Liverpoold bought Henderson for £20m and Carroll for £35m. United is about to sign Jones for £16m.So, Sturridge for £20m is almost a bargain. And if the article is right, then I would think it would be stupid if no-one try to get him. EskWeston 696
Sturridge has to stay, we need English players in our squad and Sturridge is clearly a very talented young man, we need to utilise his potential and push him forward next season..... dave30 and HRiver
