If it wasn't for AVB getting his tactics right and Drogba being a beast vs. Valencia, Cole clearing the ball off the line in Napoli, the heroic team performance in Barcelona, Ramires scoring a cold-blooded goal the same night, Cech saving our arses 2546943945 times, Torres wouldn't even had the opportunity to win a cornerkick in Munich. I watched the match again and I liked Sturridge a lot. A lot of things he did which Torres hasn't been able to do. Hold up the ball, actually dribble past a couple of players and lay it off to attacking mids. Created his own shot a couple of times. Didn't loose possession carelessly which Torres does so often.

The reason his good work got overshadowed is because like Luiz he already has a bad reputation and then on top he made 2 or 3 really really bad decisions which are always more memorable than several other good things he did. I think he definitely will be better than Torres if given more time.

His movement was also very good and sadly I think even before the match starts he'll be considered more dangerous than Torres for the opposition because he has that ability to beat anyone 1 on 1.

No as ive said before he's a good player, but he's not a great player, and good players are only fine for big teams when you have great players. But he is a cunt.

So i guess this is the proof (recent proof anyway since we all know he was dropped for his lack of teamwork, but some people have short memories) that he's expected to track back and dosent, therefore making him useless unless he plays CF, which he's pretty poor at as well.

We conceded the goal due to Cole throwing the ball right back to the opposition. Since you're so desperate to prove why him not tracking back is a point to how he shoildnt play CF, do you know why Cole was under so much pressure from Hernandez all game? Hazard didn't track back. Guess we can never use him on the wing as well. Last season Mata didn't track back - guess that's why he is used centrally now. Your ridiculous vendetta against Sturridge is tiring.

Sturridge handles the ball much better than Torres and he has a much better view of the game. I mean why do you think Sturridge work as a right winger while Torres barely work as a striker and to work he needs the whole f*cking team to be built around him and everyone have to provide him with good balls.

Well, that's how it works. That's what the stupid majority of Chelsea fans thinks.

Torres hasn't done anything that would justify being Drogba's replacement, yet it's still Sturridge who has to prove himself and who isn't suited for being our main striker, despite not being given more than 5 games leading our attack in the last 2 years or so. We don't even know how he'd being doing as our CF if RDM gave him 5-6 starts in a row. But hey ho, fuck that logic, it's Sturridge we're talking about! The greedy, evil Sturridge can't lead our line because he shoots, and therefore, wants to score. Yada yada yada...
