It's egregious if you also add to the fact that Danny has proven his worth when given the opportunities and worked so hard to be where he's at now. He's excelled at Bolton and had a stellar start to the season last year. Sure he may be a defensive liability but he works a lot harder than Torres does to get the ball back, and I think his style of play would work better with Hazard and Mata. He's waited long enough to play the CF role and I'll be disappointed if Robbie doesn't start him soon. There are some politics involved with the board surrounding Torres being handed the starting job and I think that's the reason why RDM is holding back for now. The board needs to assess this properly and consider the Torres purchase as a failure. It was clearly a panic move made by Roman and it is evident that the previous injury Torres suffered took a lot out of him. I have total respect for Fernando as he is a class act with his head at the right place, but let's all move on from this to give Sturridge the time to develop into a world-class player.

Well it was on the cards after the first matches and his injury, he won't play much in our next 4 games either. There needs to be fundamental change in how we treat Sturridge before the winter transfer window for any change to occur.

Can't say I'd blame him if he leaves.

This.

I think he'll be a LFC player sooner rather than later. Rodgers needs a striker & he's willing to give youth a chance, perfect scenario for Sturridge in my opinion.

We won't be able to sell a player that can sign for free this transfer window for next season. He will receive bonuses at signing as free agent

Depends how desperate the buying club is, and in Liverpool's case I'd imagine they would go all out to bring him in. Don't forget we signed Cahill for £7m in January and his contract was expiring in the summer.

So if Danny leaves... Who would be our CF if Fernando Torres decides to get injured? Lukaku recall? Pleasee Chelsea don't break the bank again if we have this talent on our ranks... or at least give him a chance until January.

Why would Torres 'decide' to get injured?

Sturridge is enigma for me sometimes brilliant, sometimes not, maybe if we had the chance to see him play like 5-10 consecutive games as a CF for us we would've had a far better picture on him.Ill just trust Robbie and his decision.

Liverpool makes perfect sense, Sturridge is all but gone already anyway. I'm not too bothered, just hope we get a decent fee (considering his contract is soon up). We'll buy a replacement (no idea who, highly doubt it will be Falcao though).
