When he has been given the chance he has looked solid. Lets not forget he started the Champions League Final? The kid has talent. Granted, not as much as Shaw but still. I feel sorry for him under Jose, although Azpil has been class even at LB, why wasnt Bertrand even thought about, obviously Jose doesn't rate him and who am I to argue with him lol.

As per the KDB situation I presume Jose isn't happy with his attitude or work ethic in training. Jose said KDB was lazy in training and didn't work hard enough, a key reason for not playing him so it could be the same with Bertie.

You could be right. From the outside bertrand doesn't seem that type of guy but thats from the outside. If he does leave it should be to a decent team. Just need to see what happens with Shaw now.

I personally rate Bertie quite highly but I just Jose's judgement on all things so there must be something we cannot see. However I'd still absolutely love to see Shaw here and if it involves Bertie going the other way then so be it.

Dont think he would go to the other way though.....probably will end up at Liverpool like Daniel

Looks like this could be happening very soon

1. The Bertrand + cash deal isn't happening until summer. At least Southampton would then be getting a player who actually played some Premier League games this season.

2. They don't want Bertrand, it'll be straight cash for Shaw (hopefully in this window) and we're looking to increase Bertrand's value before selling him in the summer. They could be happy with using Clyne and Chambers as they're full-backs.

Hoping for the latter. Shaw to Chelsea just seems like the move that needs to happen. He fits our team perfectly, he loves the club and I just really like the look of the lad. Reminds me of a more physically imposing Le Saux.

Hmmm.

With Ivanovic injured, what happens if Ash gets hurt too? Azpi already looks like he's fatigued at times in matches.

Could we really be getting Shaw now? Hope so.

Not likely this window.

We could always use Kalas as right back and shift Azpi to LB if Cole get injured now.
