Eden Hazard is "waiting" for Real Madrid to make a move to sign him, according to Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur.

Hazard has just over a year left on his Chelsea contract and Terreur told the Transfer Talk podcast: "He has rejected two contract offers so far and says that he doesn't want to sign right now. That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing, Real Madrid.

"Real Madrid are still interested as far as I know, but they are still yet to make their move. They don't have a personal agreement with him at this point, they don't have an agreement with Chelsea and they haven't even made the phone call like they did last summer."

I don't know.  I think it'll still hurt. 

I don't think it's the end of the world and in some ways we may be better off if he goes but I have to admit, I want him to stay.  He's got to make a decision though.

Wish this were true but unfortunately I think they are so confident it can happen if they want it to, there is no need for them to do anything until the summer, doing business early will only make the transfer fee higher for them. I expect this to go to the wire even in the summer, I think we're going to hold out for 100m as reported and probably end up with about half that.

That's kind of how I'm reading the situation as well.  I think they think he'll come whenever they bid on him so why rush it.  See if they can get their primary targets first and then come in for him late if they still feel they need him at that point.

Yeah, Real Madrid probably don't want the trouble of trying to get him in January, our board will never agree to that. I think the club is willing to risk getting a lower fee in the summer and they know it will be lower, but they also know the ramifications of not finishing top 4 would be much more severe, and without Hazard we can essentially kiss top 4 goodbye. The remaining time the club will be trying to convince him to stay, so what they gotta do first is get a competent striker... Hazard is probably counting days till summer playing false nine. I'm not sure that Higuain is the right player to prove our ambitions, but for the remainder of the season it would be better than nothing. The hope is maybe that we will start playing much better with him and Eden will love it. 

I think we will fail in persuading him and Real will come in with some low-ball offers at first, we will reject them and so on and so forth, until we are finally forced to accept something. Real will be under pressure to buy themselves out of this state they find themselves in and Hazard is probably the cheapest top quality option available. It also doesn't help that Hazard himself gives subliminal "come get me" pleas each chance he gets, you can be sure as shit they have taken note.

At this point, I don't even think it's a case of convincing him anymore. We can easily list out all the cons of him leaving us for Real but really, he just desperately wants to go to Real Madrid and it's just a case of whether they will officially come for him.

It is just weird that he still want to go to Real. Real has been a mess for quite some time now.

Don't believe people who say oh they sold ronaldo so now they are suck. Nope they finished like 15 points of Barcelona last year

The team are just too old in some areas, Ramos, Modric and Benzema need to be replaced.

These player-manager stories are made up 90% because they sell papers. Stuff that happens on pitch is business and they probably dont give two shits about it after, but media blows it out of proportion. 

The only clashes happen when both have massive ego: like Ibra and Pep. 

Eden isnt one of those and if Real comes knocking, I guess he would play for Mou, Conte or whoever else will be there.

Can't believe that,

I do think that players relationships with their manager plays a large part of their attitude at work, And having a manager they dont like at a club that want him would surely make a big part of their decision.

I know it would me. It would just make it hard to go to work in the morning.
