Hazard started the season so strongly but I must say he’s been pretty average in the last few games. Other than the assist to Willian in the last game, he’s been guilty of losing possession with too many dribbles and fancy flicks. He looks out of depth in the false 9 position as he doesn’t seem the type to make too many runs off the ball. We need a proper centre-forward ASAP, heck I’d even go for Troy Deeney to fill the role, a proper battering ram of a striker in the Diego Costa mould.

Strange but my mate only suggested him to me last night - but that was after the pub!

But hes another 30 year old so we really need to get away from them if possible. He has scored 4 in last 6 games but only 5 and 2 assists in 19 games

I bloody said we would be lucky to get £70 / £80 mill for him

CHEEKY CUNTS!!

REAL FLUSH

Chelsea and Spurs braced for Real Madrid bids for Hazard and Eriksen

The pair are Real’s top targets and having one season left on their deals will lead to approaches at the end of the season and the bidding will start at £50m for each star

You seem to get off and enjoy any struggles at the club.

Very strange.

I was going to mention it but then I thought some peeps aren't happy unless they are moaning.

But gotta say I cant remember him making a Pro Chelsea post.

Unfortunately there are a handful on this forum that do. Its quite irritating. Or pathetic. Whatever way you want to look at it.

I know I can have a moan about certain thing but It does get confusing sometime seeing as we are supporters to see anti comments in every post someone makes,  My mates a lifelong gooner and he even says good things about us. Might stick in his throat tho lol

My concern is whether his head has been turned by Madrid, and I honestly think him being played as a false 9 is further disillusioning him! He's actually done nothing for us, bar yesterday's assist, since the Watford game.

Chelsea will demand upwards of £100million if Eden Hazard tells the club he wants to join Real Madrid – even though he will only have one year remaining on his contract at the end of the season.

Hazard hopes to find out whether or not Real will make a big bid to sign him in the summer by the end of this month, with Chelsea also keen to get the issue resolved.

Despite the forward claiming he is prepared to wait until the end of the season before deciding whether or not to sign a new contract with Chelsea, both parties favour an earlier resolution.

So another uncommited wideplayer, more or less. To be honest I would rather he would just come out and say he wants to go come the summer. Put everyone out of their misery. Its painly obvious hes off. Why would he stay?

I agree, it would be nice to know exactly where he stands.  On the other hand, I can understand wanting to keep your options open as much as possible, but it's getting to the point where it's putting the club in a bad position, they need to be able to plan the future of the squad.  Love Eden, but he needs to make a decision one way or the other.

Oh come on. Weve had this before. Mediocrity? The squads not great and if we lose Eden its a huge blow but its hardly as if we are gonna fall outside the top 6,  which is competitive. Swear when Eden goes half the fans may as well go with him, you get the feeling theres no belief that we can manage without him in the future but we did it in the past with players, some who in my eyes have done more than Eden has, the Drogba's, the Lampards, the Terrys, the Coles, the Zolas etc. Fair enough weve not bought exceptionally well recently but theres no doubt we can still attract players and have a good team. If you dont believe that then you may as well go support someone else. He was going to leave eventually and plus hes hardly been at the level he was the first 10 games for a good while, may get stick for this hes truly a world class player only when he wants to be. Weve had 2 bad seasons after winning the PL in the last 4 years... his effort and performances along with Costa, Matic, Fabregas etc was a big part of that unfortunately.

Some valid points some not ,fair enough. Don't think we will be strong contenders in the champions league + premiership(Need another 3 wc signings imho)(the standards we should be setting not talking about top 6 , if your happy with CFC being around the top 6 maybe Arsenal is for you. !) Unless we get a player of Hazards standards in the future i'm thinking , if he goes!.

We arent strong contenders for the title or in the CL just now either.

Anyway, the club will bounce back with a few changes in a couple of seasons. The squad needs a reshuffle. The manager needs time and players that suit him.

I didnt mean top 6 finish like that, I meant there are 6 teams who will always be going for top 4: Us, City Liverpool, United, Spurs and Arsenal.

If we sell Hazard and get 3 or 4 good players in other positions that would strengthen the 11 or the 18 then we would be doing well, because its not just the 11 that is lacking, its our 18 man squad, getting the players identified and signed is the problem. Its not all or nothing regarding Hazard, there will always be good attacking players, maybe not his level but if we should have learned anything its that good attacking players are always coming through. Obviously I would rather he stayed but its not going to be the end of the club if he goes which some people tend to make a point in stating.
