And the chances are....?

Let's face it. He's done for this season.

I know, the chances are next to zero. But I'm always expecting and hoping that one day, our best player from the last two seasons can get his old form back. Well, it's already March and he is still....shockingly shite to say the least. But I would love to see Hazard finally scoring a goal from open play this season against Everton, seeing Martinez getting pissed off is hilarious. Would be even better if Hazard scores the goal from an offside position :D

He went off injured so probably won't play.

Damn it, was hoping that he can play against Everton...Oh well, Kenedy is good enough to start ahead of Hazard anyway. (Based on current form, that is) :)

New excuse ?  The guy's been playing injured for the past 3 weeks while our "supporters" have been questioning his commitment, ridiculing him and spouting ignorant vile shit.

Mourinho said that he prefers to play with tired Hazard than with no Hazard because Hazard always can do something special.

Wtf was that. Now Chelsea pay the price for that and that bad pre-season. It needs to be restarted.

I buy into the theory that Drogba leaving meant there's basically no fire under Hazard's ass and thus no real desire to perform. To be a broken record, this is why Cech should have been retained. It still feels like a strange dream that he wasn't. It'd be immature to dismiss psychology as a big factor these days when it comes to players and their ability. If you're the best in your own head, you'll at least be decent with your feet. If you're only decent or very good in your head though, you're not exactly shooting for the moon, so you won't be landing amongst the stars if you fall short.

From before he even arrived here, the 1 common trait that Belgian and Lille fans alike would highlight was: "His mentality." Mentalities don't change very quickly in the world of football when you're an idolised millionaire. I expect no changes.

Belgian paper reporting he's been playing with pain (painkillers) for the last 3 weeks.

Ivanovic also confirming Hazard (and Costa) started the game injured.

" ‘It's not an excuse, but people have to think about the fact Eden started the game injured,’ said Ivanovic. "

ffs just rest him already. How long are we gonna continue to flog him to death ?

Flog him to death. The guy who barely defends or attacks. when was the last time he did anything worthwhile.

Sell the bloody cunt already. Let him go to RM. He will be taught a bloody lesson there by the crowd. The chelsea fans have been nothing but patient with him. Watch what RM fans do to the likes of CR or Bale or even Iker. A person with such a shit mentality will be OWNED daily.

so if it is true that he has been hurt for the last 3 weeks my question is, what about the rest of the season were he has been dog shit for all of it?. Whats his excuse for that then?

Think the amount of games he 's played over the years might have caught up with him.

Since August 2012 to 1 november 2015 Hazard played 213 games with most of them being 80-90 minute games. That, along  with the amount of times he got the shit kicked out of him, was always going to come back to bite (him) us in the ass

Best if we rest him. Nothing to play for anymore this season. Whether we win the FA cup or not doesn't change much. We still out of the CL next season and we're still going to need to rebuild our squad.

Seriously? I'm one of the only ones that keeps saying he's dead tired and spent? The guy played almost literally every minute of every game for the past three seasons (not including this one), he's the most fouled player in the BPL. Rest him. Some of the reactions here are vile.

I see Hazard is again the focal point for our loss :)

Those wishing him out of the club, be careful what you wish for, he could end up leaving and then we would regret it against the next team he plays for.

The lad has injury problems - is probably carrying a bit too much weight and has zero confidence

how the mighty fall huh - he pretty much dragged us over the line for the EPL title, has a bad season and is now set to be hounded out of the club!!!

seriously, think some people need a reality check

I hope he stays and I'm confident that next season, the un-injured Hazard will be back!

Only if you read this thread, maybe. Elsewhere players like Mikel, Pedro, Azpilicueta and Cahill are being discussed regarding form and the PSG game.

Lol I guess - there's many players to choose from - which is a sad state of affairs :(

i agree with some other posts I have seen from you - MAJOR clear out in the summer required

The fact that he was injured, and still started over Oscar, says more about the state of the former Brazilian 10 than about Hazard really.

I expect Hazard will be gone after Euros. Really can't tell about Oscar though since he seems to be well settled here.

“Eden’s lack of form is due to an injury, an inflammation in the hip, that he’s been carrying now for three or four months,” he said in an interview with the Belgian newspaper Le Soir. “It’s not a bad injury, but when the pain appears, it feels like a stabbing. It’s feels like a knife is stabbed in it.

“He was feeling the pain early in the game [against Leicester] and that’s why he has asked for a substitution. Instead of giving Eden a time to overcome the injury and have a proper rest, they push him to play because they have some important games... So he has no choice... Which player hasn’t had highs of lows in his career? It’s the first time in his professional career that he’s confronted with a difficult period. He’s not machine, as we know.”

PSG, together with Real Madrid, have been heavily linked with a move for the player at the end of the season, speculation fuelled by an interview the 25-year-old conducted with Le Parisien last month in which he declared his admiration for the Ligue 1 champions. But Chelsea, who tied Hazard down last year to a new £200,000-a-week contract which extends to 2020, have no desire to sell and will resist ay offers for his signature.

“Eden has never said he wanted to play for PSG,” said Thierry Hazard, whose son had unwisely swapped shirts with Ángel Di María at half-time on Wednesday night. “He’s just confirmed that PSG have become a big club and that every player would like to play for clubs of that level. Eden has a contract until 2020. It’s out of question that he’ll leave the club at the moment.”
