MrExcalibur100 7,124
I like them. Who are the better ones you recommend? Can't hurt watching more eden videos.HeilRJ, the absolute living youtube legend I recommend. There is also JavierNathaniel and the lesser known gundoganed. There is also an "eden hazard" channel that uploads videos of almost every Hazard game. lionsden
Henrique 9,133
They absolutely need a player like Hazard. They don't have a single player of his type at Madrid while Barcelona have 3.Hazard completely destroys defensive shapes with his dribbling ability. Both Bale and Ronaldo lack the individual magic he possesses. Why do you think they regularly struggle against Atleti? They're probably out of the CL if not for Arda's red card. And why would he be a fool? He'd be an instant starter at Madrid. His prestige would automatically be increased playing for them, he'll be playing in an attacking system, his stats would increase & he'll surrounded by better players.Thankfully, Hazard is extremely loyal. At Madrid he wont THE star as he is at Chelsea. His impact would be small.Hazard is not what Real needs. Real is the ultimate team. Actually Hazard is yet to produce a great performance at UCL level. He needs Chelsea as much as Chelsea need him. They are in the same boat.He would be a fool because I can see he doing a Owen and a Kaká at Madrid. Its not a madness to imagine Hazard becoming a sub for Madrid and then sold for PSG 2 seasons later. He is far from finished product, and Madrid is not the best place for him.
johnnythefirst 1,076
Ronaldo would be retired with 33 years old? From best in the world from a retired player in only 3 years. Dude, its 2015. People with 33 years old are not finished to football as it used to be 30 and 40 years ago. Ronaldo still has at last 8 years left in his career. He might have 8 years left, but not at Real. He needs his speed to be decisive at that level. His speed will obviously start going down.

Owen and Kaka are injury prone, whereas Hazard has been tackled countless times in daily basis.
Popular Post! Styles 9,790 Posted April 25, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 25, 2015 Fanboys.Hazard is enjoying an incredible season for me. His class would be more obvious if he were to play in a more dominant team, with better teammates (in offence). Whether he can keep it up and improve remains to be seen.Lionsden is right about the tendency of fans to overrate their own (the same can be said about overrating players of other teams btw). But fans also overrate past greats. Big moments on the big stage define careers. People talk about the likes of Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Carlos, Del Piero etc. as if they were these magical players, producing top performances on a weekly basis, every single season. And that's a lie. The good is remembered and the bad is forgotten. Zidane's CL final goal alone skyrocketed his stock to infinity and beyond. And we will do the same with the current generation. I can already imagine everybody reminiscing about Iniesta's goal vs Chelsea in 10-20 years. Or what about Messi, possibly the tiniest player on the pitch, leaping into the air, almost levitating, and heading that ball in like Batitusta in the 2009 CL final. Because that's we do.But then you hear Zidane talk about Hazard for example, or Romario about Neymar, and you see how these past greats recognise greatness in the new boys. But Hazard lacks big moments in his career. That one highlight that you will always remember, one brilliant piece of play with the whole world watching. Or something like a devastating performance in the semi-final of the CL. I think Hazard's biggest moment was his goal against Bayern. But that was just the Supercup, and the goal wasn't really special. He's only 24 though, so he still has time. And that's why ultimately all the comparisons with other superstars aren't fair to Hazard in my opinion. No disrespect to our guys but they just aren't comparable with some of the all-star lineups that these other teams have. Neymar, Suarez and Messi is a fucking ridiculous front-line for example; that's pure fantasy football. You pair up Hazard with players of comparable skill and talent and I'm sure he'd be an even bigger threat than he is now. But that was just the Supercup, and the goal wasn't really special. He's only 24 though, so he still has time.ITAThe thing is I think that's just next in his development, and it's going to be quite natural, not something he will develop, but will just happen. For the kid to start influencing big matches, he needs to influence matches in a consistent basis, something he didn't do yet until this season. He would influence a match or two and be a non-factor in the following one or two. A few times last season when we needed him the most in matches we couldn't break down the opponents' defense, he'd dribble without influencing or would just disappear (and I mean league games, not even UCL). This changed completely and now he's taking matters into his own hands match after match. And then which kind of match that is won't be relevant anymore, because he's developed into just making things happen when the whole team depends on his geniality, it's becoming second nature to him, and that's something people don't think much. Influencing matches is like a habit someone develops and once they start doing it constantly, it's only a matter of time (and occasion coming) for them to influence big, knock-out matches. If it's a habit, you just do it because you have the tools and skills and I think that's the point Eden just reached. It's only a matter of a time for those matches to be here and he start to impact them as well. He's been nearly flawless in the last few months and I'm completely happy and proud of how he developed this season. I won't be surprised at all if next season because of a goal scored by him, an assist or a play he created by himself we take higher flights in UCL. He's ready for that now imo, which is why I don't worry if he will do it or not. I think up until last season he didn't have the ability to do it consistently and could do it once by luck or something - which I was okay with, the kid is still developing. I think he's now ready to influence any and every Chelsea match and it'll be a joy to watch (which doesn't mean he won't have an off day once in a while, or even a small/short bad patch of form, even the myths people love to mention in this thread have failed to influence important matches. With the amount of talent Argentina has had the last few years, it's criminal that Messi didn't take matters into his own hands and led them to win a WC - which will always be a dent in his claim to be the best player ever. He may be the best club player ever, with a system and a team built around him, with every single player brought and developed with the skills to offer him the best chances to shine with his incredible and rare talent, but he failed with a generation that wasn't that bad (8 years ago yes, but the last generation of Argentinean is a very good one).So yeah, I'm happy with Eden. It doesn't really matter if he's better, equal or worse to Robben, Neymar, Ribery and who else people want to compare. The only thing that matters is that he's progressed immensely this season, he wears Blue, just got a new contract and will be even more deadly comes next season. All those players - from present and past that people mention on this thread are or were great in their own way. Some will value certain things/skills over others and that's why there are so many different opinions. I'm just happy we have such a special player playing for us and I don't see him leaving any time soon (if not at all). commilin, mediator, Stingray and 3 others

Leif 6,006
It's like having Drogba with a better arse on the wing, the way he forcefully drags defenders away from their position leaving space for our other players to exploit. I don't think another player has done this since Messi many years ago, which makes it impossible to accurately compare Hazard to any player. In today's market he would be impossible to replace. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Tomorrow, Hazard will most definitely be announced player of the year at the awards ceremony in London, after the Arsenal vs Chelsea game. They've probably already told him he's won it, as they tell the winners prior, so that they can get ready. Lamps will be there also to receive an honorary award from the PFA.
