so what do u make of the team now, the what will u make of it if we add hulk action to it. U deffinitely say we have our place up there wont u?

Adding Hulk to the team would strengthen it tremendously but we cant guarantee or be certain of anything out of it. Yes the expecting would be to finish in top 4 but can that be done is something which we will get to know over a period of time. There is a difference between expectation and being certain, in my opinion.

It would improve absolutely nothing.

Oscar, Mata and Hazard are better than him.

We're spending 50 million for a guy to sit on the bench.

How he doesnt help the dynamics of the team is a little too much, a right winger with pace and strength plus a backup striker isnt that what we are looking for. Oscar and Hazard who are not even 21 are termed better players than someone who has been kicking a** for quite sometime, good!

Having said that i m not looking at Chelsea to sign him for the kind of ridiculous of amount which has been asked for. But my point is that he does provides us the depth in the squad and strengthen the team.

Hulk is an entirely different option to what we've currently got, and yet people are against the move? Forget the price. You're not paying it, so it is entirely irrelevant.

yeah lets pay £1bn for him instead then! its not our money is it! so the price means nothing! what planet do you live on???

fuck it, were rich. who are we to tell roman what to do with his money? hes obviously comfortable enough to pay that price, why should you guys worry?

are you serious???

because if we start paying crazy prices for average players then every team will keep raising their prices when we are in the market! and with FFP coming in paying crazy prices for average players means we have less money to buy actual world class players!!! so yeah who are we to tell Roman how to spend his money, let him pay £80 million for Moses and £200 million for Hulk its not our money is it?

Not only that, but we are absolutely fine with our forward 3 spots. We will rotate Mata, Hazard, Marin, Ramires, and Oscar (and Meireles and Malouda if they stay) in those 3 spots. You only need a true winger if you're going to play a system that requires a true winger (such as a 4-3-3). I can see the logic in getting someone like Moses who would be relatively cheap and add some flexibility and he doesn't need to start.

Hazard is a true winger, he will play on the left. Marin is a true left winger also. Hulk is a right forward, he is a direct goal threat, unlike Oscar, Hazard and Mata. Oscar, Marin and Ramires can play on the right but none of them would be as effective as Hulk in that position, Hulk specialises in that position, the others are makeshift.

I don't expect Oscar to be starting many games either, he will be eased in gradually, maybe in a deep midfield role.

Would love to see him at our club.... difference between Hulk and Moses is Finished Product vs Potential.... We currently have enough players with 'potential'.....wouldnt do much harm to get a finished product to bolster our credentials, taking us from "could challenge" for supremacy to "will" challenge for supremacy.

The other angle is the direction our club is going, which is more financially viable, i.e. the players we buy now are young and we will make money on them while selling them on, rather than hulk, who will command less than 1/3rd of what we spend on him today. Whether Roman can afford it personally will not matter in a few years time as FFP concentrates on club earnings rather than Owners wealth.

Also, lets not be like the City and Arsenal supporters, who while they are linked with a player, that player is great, then if its not happening or the player goes to another club.... the player is crap, useless.

Hulk is a good player and will definitely add to our squad.... Van Persie and Rooney will kill it in the League this season..... Hulk has too many dimensions to his game and missing out on him will be bad. I still think Porto will sell, its just a matter of whether we are willing to play their game or not.
