I think splashing 25 million quid on Luiz is quite a mistake. The defence isn't our weak point, it's been our front line for the majority of the season. We've only conceded 7 goals, the lowest with Man United. The partnership of Terry and Alex/Ivo has been pretty damn good this season.

However, we've scored 24 goals, 10 off of the leaders. I know that it's not the best example to use, but it's been pretty transparent that we've been lacking attacking spark and creativity, and with Lampard and Drogba not getting any younger, it's just going to get worse. Signing a defender should not be a priority atm.
